Learning the wisdom of man can really throw us off course.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

We spend most of our early years going to school to learn what man has to teach us.

Then when God reveals HIMSELF to us and we are born again, we have to unlearn many of those ways of man!

God saves us from the wisdom we learned from humans when that wisdom is not the best way for us to go.

First that wisdom we sought from man has to be uprooted by The Word coming from God by HIS Spirit.

Pam Padgett just completed part of a small remodel job.  Several times throughout this phase of the project, I would be given a word from God about Pam's project.  I would deliverer that word to Pam.

Sometimes I would feel a fleshly type of resistance from Pam but we always worked through the problem.

It turns out that Pam had, in prior times, watched home decorating shows on TV.

Unknowingly, Pam was seeking wisdom from humans concerning remodeling and decorating.

Paul says:

I Corinthians 1:24-25    But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ (The Word) the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

It seems so reasonable to go to experienced and trained people to find out how to do a secular project.

But even in this, God's wisdom is greater and easier and more direct and perfect for us!

I Corinthians 1:30-31   But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus (The Word), who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness (the right way), and sanctification, and redemption:

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord
(in the Word, the direction given by God.).

A woman in our church group heard a word from the Spirit of God.

"Now is the time to get a dog."

It took her about 4 months to decide on kind of dog, to order a puppy, and get the puppy delivered to her.

In that time, she fretted a lot over what she was to do when she got the puppy.

She ordered several books about puppies.

God said to her:  "Just because it is written in a book doesn't mean it is right."

(Wisdom is from God.)

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Most of us go off in our own flesh or in the wisdom of the flesh of other humans, from time to time, and suffer loss as a result.

But when we turn to God and ask HIM what to do and really believe God will give us wisdom when we ask HIM, we deliver ourselves from the ways of humans.

James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
