As we go through life and face decisions, our own flesh often rises up with a "good idea" showing us what to do ... devils whisper suggestions in our ear ... and God by His Spirit brings to our minds that which God would have us do.
The way for us to go in all things is the way spoken to us by the Spirit of God.
Therefore learning to recognize the plan given us by God by HIS Spirit is a critical part of following the Spirit of God.
* God's yoke is easy and HIS burden is light. Matthew 11
Easy:
- achieved without great effort
- needing little effort, not difficult
- free from pain, discomfort, worry or care
If something is difficult, costly, hard to do, complicated, I know I do not have God's plan.
* God's plan is without hypocrisy, without pretense, without lying. James 3:17
The devil is a liar and there is no truth in him. John 8 So if there is deception of any kind in the plan, I know it is not authored by God. No guile, no trickery. The flesh and devil might delight thinking themselves to be smarter than others in such, but the NT shows me the wisdom that is from above is without guile, is straightforward.
And when God gives us the plan we glory in God who cares for us rather than glorying in ourselves.
