The Holy Scriptures

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

In the end times, the apostle Paul said evil men and seducers would wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.  II Timothy 3

Paul told us to continue in the Holy Scriptures.

Man goes by his own flesh and by the thinking of others by their own flesh.

But the works of the flesh are opposite to the way of God by the Spirit.  To be led by the flesh would take us the wrong way, to a way of destruction.  Therefore we need to be able to recognize when flesh is trying to lead us and avoid that way.

Galatians 5:19-21    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness (defrauding another), lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft (living by superstitions), hatred, variance (argue/debate), emulations (trying to outdo another), wrath (revenge), strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

So how do we know the way to go?

Recently a woman was telling me what I should do.

I asked her if that is what she believed God wanted.

She hesitated as if she had just run into a brick wall.  I could tell this woman did not have God in all her ways.  She was unaccustomed to considering what God wanted her to do.

Also this is a woman who does not read Bible.  She has been taught by her church group not to read Bible but to depend on the priests to tell her what to do.  (Catholic woman)

Proverbs 14:12    There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Paul said:

II Timothy 3:14-17    But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;  And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The way of God is not going to be different from the Word of God.

When we know the scriptures concerning the situation at hand, we know the truth and we are not tossed about by every wind of doctrine.

When we focus on what God says through the scriptures, we become like that tree that is planted by the rivers of water, strong and stable in the storms of life.

We build our house on what God says in HIS word.

Jesus tells us:

Matthew 7:24-27    Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

When you know the real thing, the Holy Scriptures, the counterfeit will not pull you off because you know the truth.
