On the threshold.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

When you see the leaves bud on the trees, spring is upon you.

We should be able to see we are standing at the door of that which is coming upon the whole earth to try men.

2000 years ago, John wrote:  The time is at hand ...  Revelation 1:3

Peter said:

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  II Peter 3:8

Looking at time this way, in the sight of God it has only been 2+ days since John told us the time is at hand.

Paul told us:  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.  II Timothy 3:13

Paul was speaking of them getting worse and worse in the church.

He said they would have "a form of godliness"  but they would deny the power thereof.  v5

He said they would be "ever learning" but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.  v7

He told us to continue in the Holy Scriptures.  v14

We can see by these statements that Paul was writing about things getting worse and worse "in the church" and about the ungodliness of men in the church in the latter days.

II Timothy 3:1-4    This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

And in II Thessalonians 2, Paul told us about the end time apostasy that would come into the churches in the last days.

NASB    Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

(We can see by this scripture some were saying the day of the Lord had already come.  But Paul explains the apostasy must come first in the church.  As long as Paul was there working in the churches, he kept order and kept the apostasy down, although there were men in his time who were just waiting to come in and take over and change church doctrine. And Paul even says he knew that after his departing these men would do that, speaking perversions in the church.  Acts 20:29-30)

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the LORD) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

*****

The apostasy is taking place right now, perhaps full force, in the church groups as men change doctrines from the Bible, falling away from instructions, setting up another doctrine which opposes the Bible doctrine.

Antichrist in the church groups ... who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

No one but God knows the exact day or hour, but we do know the season that is upon us.

*  The apostasy is rampant in the church groups today.
*  Church groups have fallen away from portions of scripture.
*  Evil men and women are accepted and approved into the group without repentance.
*  Uncovered women (women with shaved heads) parade about the church, often even on stage in front of  the group as they present themselves as ministers.  (I Corinthians 11:1-11)
*  All manner of divorce/remarriage is approved within the church group contrary to scripture.  (Matthew 5:32; I Corinthians 7:10-11)
Homosexuals & lesbians are often welcomed into the church group, some are even being ordained as church ministers by some groups.  (Romans 1:24-27)
Some churches are calling drunkenness a disease rather than a sin.

These abominations in the church groups show us how close we are coming to the day of the Lord where the wrath of God comes upon the entire world before the heavens and earth are completely destroyed.

We are on the threshold of the Book of Revelation where the plagues and woes are loosed upon this earth.  Revelation 8-16

And we are on the threshold of the coming of the Lord where the dead in Christ will rise from the graves, and we who continue in the scriptures and are still alive will be changed out of these physical bodies and will be given new spiritual bodies without this current flesh and we will be raised to meet Jesus and the saints in the air.  I Thessalonians 4 & I Corinthians 15

What should we do who have clung to scripture all these years?

Peter tells us to be diligent that we would be found of HIM, when Jesus returns,  in peace, without spot, and blameless(II Peter 3:14)

We will never agree with the corruption.  We cling to the scripture.

But we must live continually in peace through taking those things that trouble us to God and allowing HIM to establish us as HE wills.  And we must live without spot, clinging to scripture and upholding scripture ... and blameless, forgiving others and even reconciling but without denying  the scriptures in the situation.  Only by God's leading can this happen.

So we continually pray for God to clean up anything in our lives that is needed and we follow HIM by HIS Spirit.
