Antichrist

I John 2:18-19    Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

They did not continue to uphold the scripture and the doctrines of Christ that were presented to the church by the apostles, so they left the apostles John & Paul.

But Paul knew as soon as he was gone, men would rise up in the church itself to draw other men away after themselves.

Acts 20:29-30    For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

For decades, we have heard that antichrist is coming.

When I was born again, 1975, and first heard of antichrist, I asked someone in our church group if they thought antichrist was Hitler. 

(People then thought there was just one antichrist ... but John showed us there are "many" antichrists ... and Paul showed us antichrist would come through the church, not through the world.  Antichrist would set himself up in the "temple of God", the church, showing himself to be god as he ruled and set aside scripture.  II Thessalonians 2.)

She replied, "No," and she went on to say antichrist would come speaking "peace."

Though she didn't say so, I assume she was referring to the passage of scripture in Daniel 8:25 ... and by peace shall destroy many.

(Certainly we see many being destroyed today by "peace" doctrine in churches because the preachers have removed portions of scripture which show the human committing a sin... "peace" regardless of that which you choose to do is often preached today.  Acceptance in the congregation without repentance.  They preach John 8 where Jesus didn't condemn the woman taken in adultery but they omit the part where Jesus said to her, "Go, and sin no more.")

But John and Paul both showed us in the Bible that there were already "many" antichrists operating at the time they lived on the earth and these antichrist were trying to operate in the church. 

Paul explained:  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work.  II Thessalonians 2:7

And Paul told us:  so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 
II Thessalonians 2:4

II Thessalonians 2    NASB    Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. ³ Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God

We see by this, at the time Paul wrote this, some were saying the day of the Lord had already come.

Paul explains that day will not come until the apostasy (in the churches) takes place.

That is what we are seeing today in churches as they fall away from scripture and allow lawlessness to be approved in the church itself.

This sets the stage for the coming of Jesus and for the wrath of God that is coming upon this world before God destroys this present world.

Antichrist came in through the churches as portions of scripture were removed from the churches.

As long as he, Paul, was among them, he upheld scripture.  But Paul knew they were there waiting for his departure and when he was gone, they would come into the church group speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after themselves.  Acts 20:29-30

The iniquity in both the churches and in the world must first "come to the full" and then comes the end.

And what must we do when we see the church group who supports various sins without repentance and marriages inside the church where Jesus said such marriages would be adultery?

If we have the Holy Spirit in us we will never be able to live in peace where scripture is disobeyed and omitted from the church group.

They will not turn back to the scripture though we correct them.  For God has already brought upon them strong delusion that they would believe a lie.

II Thessalonians 2:10-12    And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

You won't be able to change them for their delusion is from God.

Matthew 7:13-14   Jesus says:  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

You must come away from them and live in peace, continuing in the Holy Scripture.

II Timothy 3:5   Paul says:  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

The only thing we can do when they deny the power of the scripture to rule over them is to turn away from them.  Leave them alone.

We have to live in peace.  We cannot live in peace around those who reject the Holy Scriptures and follow another spirit, often a religious spirit.
