Volume 9 ... #14
God Turns Everything Upside Down By HIS Spirit

Before we were born again, we had goals, desires, pursuits ... that which "we" wanted ...

After God revealed HIMSELF to us causing us to be born again, having a new Spirit in us, everything changed.  We often found that which we wanted was changed.  That which was once important to us no longer mattered.

It is not that the Spirit of God causes us to do things we wouldn't have done before.  It is our desires change and we no longer want to do that which we once found so important.

Ezekiel 36:24-29 ... For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be MY people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses:

...  31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

Didn't this happen to us?

Our whole world turned upside down after God revealed HIMSELF to us.  That which we once thought to be good we now see as not good.  That which we once desired and pursued, we found to have no interest for us.

All of a sudden we are "new creations", born again, having a different spirit, the Spirit of God.

II Cor. 5:17 ... Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And we abhor that which we once were!

This is exactly what God said HE would do in Ezekiel 36.
