πŸ’₯ A penalty from God for having sex outside of marriage: I Cor. 6

The following scripture should be taught at all churches regularly.

I Corinthians 6

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.

(These scriptures show us that at the time of sexual intercourse, the two people become one flesh, even if the man is having sex with a prostitute.)

Sex outside of marriage is unlike all other sins, says the apostle Paul.

I Corinthians 6

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

The knowledge of this might be strong enough to stop some in church groups who commit fornication.

A Baptist woman reported to me recently that fornication is now rampant in the churches she has attended.  It is even openly known by individuals who are in the congregation.  This ought not to be.  Here is what the apostle Paul said to do if any "brother" is committing fornication.

I Corinthians 5

1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

(It grieves me that this would happen in the gathering of the church. This sin will bring serious penalty from God upon those individuals who commit fornication and the ones in the church who know it is going on at their church but fail to try to stop it.)

3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

(Paul is saying we do not judge the world but we should judge those within the congregation when they are doing these sins.)

13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

The Bible teacher at Word of Faith church in the 1980's when I attended this church group was having sexual intercourse with a woman he picked up at a bar.  When I heard of this, I went to him and point blank asked him if he was having sexual intercourse with this woman who was reportedly his "girlfriend".

He replied, "Of course."

I was deeply grieved!

Then I said to him, "You know the Bible as well as I do.  Because you are doing this sin, I can no longer attend your Bible classes, nor can I go to dinner with you, nor can I eat and drink the Word of God with you at church."

He replied, "That's right."  (He didn't seem to care.)

If you are a parent you certainly have a duty to explain these scriptures  (I Cor. 6:15-18) to your children.

2 Corinthians 5

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

God calls the person who is in the church group and commits these sins, "A wicked person."

If we go along with these sins and keep company with these sinners, we will also be wicked.

I John

Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
