πŸ’₯ John 6:33

For the bread of God is HE (the Word) which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

At the time we are born again, we are sealed with the Spirit of God who lives in us.

Ephesians 1

7 In WHOM we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of HIS grace;

8 Wherein HE hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

11 In WHOM also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of HIM who worketh all things after the counsel of HIS own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of HIS glory, who first trusted in Christ. (the Word)

13 In WHOM ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

The Holy Spirit in us searches the heart of God to reveal to us the will of God in the specific issues of this life.

I Corinthians 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

The Spirit of God who lives in us searches the heart of God to reveal to us the will of God for us on this present earth.  The Holy Spirit brings information to our minds, often by a gentle thought which can even seem like we thought of "that".

But it makes all the difference when we finally realize God sent that thought to us for then we rejoice in that good thing God gave us and we know it is approved for us to have that.

Example:  When we bought a new car in 2020, we were test driving an Acura and when we exited the Acura parking lot in the car we were test driving, I looked up and saw the Mercedes car dealer's building which was directly across the street from Acura and I heard, "You should drive a Mercedes."

(I have broken several bones in my body as I have grown older and I needed a smooth riding car.)

God was not saying I should test drive a Mercedes but God was telling me the Mercedes is the car I should drive because of it's air suspension support.  It sort of floats over bumps like the old 1960 Cadillac did.

We bought the Acura and I did not consider the Mercedes at that time.  A few weeks later, when I began to have trouble riding in the Acura, we did go to Mercedes and drove one of their cars.  It had a lot of pep and I could tell Pam really enjoyed driving it.  But it was a sports car and rough riding.  Then we drove a Mercedes SUV and it was also rough riding.  The Mercedes salesman asked if we could consider a sedan, but I thought we needed the SUV because of Pam's 2 big dogs.  I never forgot the way Pam looked when she drove the Mercedes because it was so much fun to drive.  The Acura was sluggish.

For the next 3 1/2 years, we drove the Acura.  When we met other cars, I often wondered what that car rode like.  Surely there must be a car that rode more like the 1960 cars!

It finally got to the point that when Pam was going out for groceries, I often just choose to stay home.

In 2023, Pam was going somewhere and she put the dogs in the car and I chose to stay home, and she got in the car and realized she didn't like driving the Acura.  And she cried out to God, "But what do we do about it?"  At the same period of time, I began having the thought that we should go out and see if we could find a car with air suspension like the old cars had.  I told Pam and she looked it up on internet and found a few cars that did have types of air suspension systems.  Some models of Cadillac, Lincoln, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.

(I still didn't realize God had told me I should drive a Mercedes.)

When we finally got to the Mercedes to test drive that car, we had already driven Cadillac, Lincoln, Lexus, and we ask at Buick but they did not have any Buick's with air suspension.

The sales person was going to have us drive a c-class but Pam said we should try the next class up so we started with an e-class.  It didn't work at all for me. The salesman said, "You're going to have to have the S-class," their top model Mercedes.

When he brought the car around and I got into the passenger side, I said, "Now this is a car." We started around the block and it was wonderful! A totally different ride from the previous cars we had tested.

Since it was the end of the year, they were getting ready to put their demo cars on sale.  The Mercedes manager had been using an S-Class and it now had 4,000 miles and they asked me if I would consider buying his demo.  "Yes, I would."

They had us take it home for the week-end.  By Monday morning we were sure.  We had even driven it up into the Rocky Mountains and it was great!  Pam loved driving it and I loved riding in it.  We bought it on Monday.  That was November 6.  We've gone out almost daily and there has been no problem.

I know I thank God many times daily for providing for us such a car.

(I paid for the car with money from the sale of my house in Texas which I had put into 2 CD's in 2020, and one of the two CD's covered the cost and even had about $11,000 left over in that one CD.  Mt.11:30  God's yoke is easy and HIS burden is light.)

Here are 2 scriptures which were called to my mind by the Holy Spirit to confirm what to do before I made the final decision.

Psalm 84:11  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will HE withhold from them that walk uprightly.

I Timothy 6:17  Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

(I felt God was showing me not to put my trust in the money I had saved from the sale of the Texas house.  It was approved to spend some of that money.  We can't trust in our savings!  We must put our trust in God.  HE will not fail us.  HE knows future and HE will not permit us to spend that money if we are going to need it in the days ahead.  I'm currently 86-years-old. What I needed was a car that I could ride in without physical pain.  I no longer drive.)

Isaiah 55:8-9  God says: For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

We often reason that we can "make do".

I have long witnessed that God is delighted to bless me and see me enjoy something.

And I know God will approve my having something that I would explain away.  And even if I get a day or a moment's pleasure from that thing, God is pleased for me to have it when it would do me no harm.

It is not always that I "need" it.  Sometimes it is just that it would be better for me than the other item.

My mother used to say in her latter years, "It will make it better won't it?"

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I pity people who live by their own reasonings and do not know how to follow God and do not have faith in that which God shows them.

Deuteronomy 28

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and HE shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as HE hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in HIS ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

(They will be afraid to speak "off colored" things in front of you for they see you belong to God.)

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee HIS good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in HIS season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Just follow after individual scriptures and do them and let them live in you and through you.

Do not follow after money and things.  Follow after scripture, doing the Word of God in the specific issues of this present life.  Things will be a by-product and will just come upon you without your trying to get them as the world does.  And you will know it is God who gives you "wealth" and not yourself.
