It is doubtful if any of us will stand if all we are doing is reading the Word of God.
James 1
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Example:
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,
Do you really live this scripture, allowing peace to rule, refusing to go in a way where you have no peace? or do you just read this scripture without doing it?
You can read what I write and it will avail you little or nothing unless you do the word of God. You will deceive yourself into thinking you are strong spiritually when you are opposite!
The doers of the word are blessed.
