Proverbs 18:16   A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

After we are born again, we are given spiritual gifts.

I once asked my favorite aunt what spiritual gift she had been given by God.

I could tell by her response that she wasn't sure though she had been at church for 50 years or so.

She replied she thought it might be a give of love.  But that is not listed as a spiritual gift.  God teaches each of us to love according to the apostles Peter and John.

I think my aunt had a spiritual gift of "giving".  She was a very good cook and was always taking food to people.  And she was a professional grade seamstress and was frequently making clothes for other people.  

Giving is one of the spiritual gifts.  

Romans 12

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Also there is a spiritual gift of "helps".

I Corinthians 12

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
