Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Some preachers practice that which they plan to speak as if it were a performance. They practice the way they will speak, inflections of words and such, like a stage actor. They look for clever stories that "tickle" the flesh of man.
You might go away from such performances marveling over that man who spoke, thinking it was wonderful.
But the apostle Paul said this about himself.
I Corinthians 2:1-5 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

The power of God is in the Word, not in our presentation of the Word.
Therefore I try to speak the Word given to me as purely as possible. God will use "that word" to work in those who are being saved.
The many fleshly, emotional presentations of preachers might make an individual's flesh "tingle", but such will not be a lasting power of God to salvation.
It is "the Word" itself that has power to salvation and that is to be honored at all times.
