Psalm 98 ... Prayers to God & Promises from God to the Church

1 O sing unto the Lord a new song;
for HE hath done marvellous things:
his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

2 The Lord hath made known his salvation:
his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel:
all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth:
make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp;
with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpets and sound of cornet
make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the floods clap their hands:
let the hills be joyful together
9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth:
with righteousness shall he judge the world,
and the people with equity.

HE hath done marvellous things:

When we think of the things God has done in our lives, the specific things, the deliverance from evil, the transporting of ourselves into HIS kingdom, the recreation of us into HIS image and the removal of the image of man from us so we can delight in HIM and HIS ways (making us fit for HIM and HIS kingdom) ... gladness and joy come into our hearts.

We think of the way God delivered the children of Israel from Egypt and the way God provided everything they needed and even that which they desired (meat) as they traveled through the wilderness, we marvel at God.

 The Lord hath made known his salvation:
his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

When God revealed HIMSELF to us and changed us, we were heathen ... Instantly we were changed by HIS will.  Then bit by bit we were conformed into HIS image as we continued in this life and as we sought HIS way in the various troubles of life and as we went in HIS way, we were changed over and over into HIS image just as a little child grows into the image of his father with experiences, we grow into the image of God as we experience God in the issues of life.

All things praise God ... the heavens, the earth, the harp, the trumpets, the cornet ... the seas, the entire world ... the floods ... the hills ...

 for HE cometh to judge the earth:
with righteousness shall HE judge the world,
and the people with equity.

When we get a taste of God and HIS righteousness, we see this world in a very different way.
