Psalm 94 ... Prayers to God & Promises from God to the Church

1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth;
O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth:
render a reward to the proud.

3 Lord, how long shall the wicked,
how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things?
and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
5 They break in pieces thy people, O Lord,
and afflict thine heritage.
6 They slay the widow and the stranger,
and murder the fatherless.
7 Yet they say, The Lord shall not see,
neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

8 Understand, ye brutish among the people:
and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear?
he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct?
he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man,
that they are vanity.

12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord,
and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity,
until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14 For the Lord will not cast off his people,
neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness:
and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers?
or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Unless the Lord had been my help,
my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18 When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul.

20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee,
which frameth mischief by a law?

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous,
and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the Lord is my defence;
and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity,
and shall cut them off in their own wickedness;
yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

Comments by Joan Boney

The apostle John tells us:

I Jn. 5 ...  19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

And John tells us:

I Jn. 4 ... Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world:therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God:he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The Holy Spirit in us is great, greater than all other wisdoms of this world, greater than all humans in high places.  Nothing is greater than the Holy Spirit that is in us.

Trust in God.

Trust in what God says by HIS Spirit.

Keep your mind focused on that.

Refuse all other ideas.

What the Holy Spirit says is truth and it is right and it is power.  We overcome through believing what HE tells us.

Sometimes when I have had to do correction or rebuke someone, it has been helpful for me to write out scriptures given by the Holy Spirit that day pertaining to the case at hand.

Yesterday, I had to bring rebuke and I was given the following scriptures which I wrote out on note card and when I would think of situation I would frequently through day and night look at these scriptures given me:

James 4 ... 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

II Cor. 6 ...  14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Isaiah 54 ...  17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,

and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Our righteousness is of God ... God has put into our hearts and our minds HIS way ... And we have read HIS way in Bible so when someone comes forth in another way we recognize it is not a way of God.
