Podcast: In the day of trouble, some will curse God. Others will turn to God.

The day of the Lord is coming.

The prophet Amos describes it as follows:

Amos 5

18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

(One problem after another.)

20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Revelation 9

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

The prophet Amos says:

Amos 5

4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:

16-17  Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.

17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.

Joel 2:1-2

1  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

God brings HIS judgment because of the wickedness of this world and the wickedness of the apostate church who discard certain scriptures and approve sinners in the congregation.

 We know it is coming.

Matthew 24  Jesus says:

31 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

We see:

* fierceness of man increases causing perilous times  (2 Tim. 3:1-5)
* people without natural affections  (homosexual/lesbians/abortion where mothers kill their own children without the natural affection given to mothers)

A mother bear will protect her cubs!  But in the end time mother's kill their unborn children.

As these sins increase, they are like the leaves on the tree showing us the wrath of God comes soon because of the sins of this world and the sins of the apostate churches where they discard scriptures and go in the way of this world.

2 Tim. 3:1-5

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(Some go to church, but they won't do the holy scriptures.  From such turn away.)

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
