πŸ’₯ Jesus speaks directly by HIS Holy Spirit to those men and women in the New Testament church.

In the Old Testament, God spoke to the prophets but the people had to go to the prophets for counsel.

In the New Testament God gives HIS Holy Spirit to all who are born again by the Holy Spirit of God.

This is a very big difference between the Old and New Testaments.

Hebrews 1

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by WHOM also HE made the worlds;

Ephesians 1

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, WHO hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (The Word):

4 According as HE hath chosen us in HIM before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before HIM in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of HIS will,

6 To the praise of the glory of HIS grace, wherein HE hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7 In WHOM we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of HIS grace;

8 Wherein HE hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of HIS will, according to HIS good pleasure which HE hath purposed in Himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times HE might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in HIM:

11 In WHOM also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of HIM who worketh all things after the counsel of HIS own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of HIS glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In WHOM ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

After we believed the Word of God, we were sealed to the day of redemption, with the Holy Spirit of Jesus who lives in us.

Pam Padgett was raised in the Catholic church.  At one point in time when she was a teenager, God caused Pam to know she could not be saved by the Catholic church (or by any church), only by God through Jesus (The Word) could she be saved.

She was terrified for she knew if she died that second, she would go to hell.  She began praying, asking God to save her.

After that she realized there was something "of God" in her.

At one point sometime later, she saw a scripture and then she knew what it was of God that was in her.

I Corinthians 3:16  Paul says:  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Jesus tells us what it is that the Holy Spirit of God does in the believer:

John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

Because of the Holy Spirit, we can know the will of God in the issues of this life.

I Corinthians 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The Holy Spirit in us shows us the will of God for us in the issues pertaining to this present life.

The Holy Spirit brings thoughts to our mind to show us the will of God.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth so by HIM we also know Truth.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
