Patience:
* The capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
* Waiting without complaining
* Resist becoming restlessness, not wanting more (esp. not more excitement)
I often pray asking God "to fill my day"
Run the race set before you:
I know my assignment from God is to exhort the church in things of God daily.
The following 2 scriptures help me to stay on my course as assigned by God.
Hebrews 3:13-14 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Hebrews 10:25 exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Jesus says:
Matthew 24:12-13 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Several years ago, my mother had a dream about me.
She said, "You came to visit and you were driving a very large van-truck. You were constantly protecting that truck, walking around that truck and inspecting it frequently."
I felt that truck was the ministry that I have been given. I'm always protecting the ministry, carefully considering what God wants me to speak to the church. Keeping other people and things from interfering with the work of the ministry.

What is your assignment? Where has God placed you?
* If you are a husband and father, your assignment is clearly visible. You care for your wife and children in both physical and spiritual ways. Leading your family in godliness.
* If you are a wife, God ordained you to be an "help meet" to your husband.
Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
(And caring for your children in godly ways.)

I feel certain God would want you to be clear about your assignment, It would be the will of God for you to know what HE wants you to do. This gives you grounds whereby you can pray in faith.
I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us: And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.
Our assignment usually starts where we are.
Seek God's will concerning that which HE wants you to do.
And if you don't know how to do what you think HE wants you to do you can ask God to give you wisdom.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
How to recognize the wisdom from God.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
