πŸ’₯ Living as strangers and pilgrims on this earth.

 
When we are born again by God, we are as one translated from this present world and raised by God to be new creatures in Christ.  We no longer want to be with the world doing things we once did.

I Corinthians 6

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind (seeking after money and things of this life) ,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers (one who verbally abuses another), nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We go forward as new creatures, now living in the Word of God and serving God instead of serving our flesh as we once did.

When we were born again, we died to this world and our flesh, and we were raised by God to be HIS children.

We keep the lusts of our flesh crucified with Christ, the Word.  We choose the way of God and no longer allow the flesh to rule over us.  Now the Spirit by the Word of God rules over our flesh.

In time, this world seems strange to us for we live now in the Word of God.

Galatians 5

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings (participation in noisy, and often drunken parties), and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Romans 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
