Isaiah 9:6 ... and HIS name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
We sing forth the honor of HIS name each time we encounter HIS work and share that work with other people.
Wonderful:
HE communicates with us. HE corrects us. HE delivers us from walking
in the way of this world which is darkness. HE sets us into the way of
light, the path of light. HE keeps us from destructions.
Counsellor: HE brings forth ideas and concepts and guides us continually.
The mighty God:
The creator of heaven and earth. The holder of all wisdom, keeping the
sun, moon, stars, heaven, earth in place until the end.
The everlasting Father: Though HE is GOD, HE cares for HIS children forever ... never ending care ...
The Prince of Peace: Taking us in the way of peace.
We
can think on specific examples of how HE has done all these things for
us and marvel in HIM, in HIS righteousness. And we build our faith in
God by thinking on what HE has done to untangle us from our own ways and
set us in right ways. We share these things HE has done thereby
"singing forth the honor of HIS name".
