Learn to walk away

II Peter 3 ... 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Make your goals compatible with the Bible.

This present world will get worse and worse, not better.

II Tim. 3 ...  13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

You will not be able to make this present world a better place for your grandchildren.  Instead teach your grandchildren the truth.  The whole world lies in wickedness.  I Jn. 5  But we live by God and it is God who will deliver us from this world.  And God will destroy this world and there will be a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth rightousness.  II Peter 3  The people of this world will not be righteous.  We must not let them change us to unrighteousness.  Cling to God, to the word of God.  HE delivers us from the unrighteous.

Learn to be content with such things as you have ... not seeking more.  For that is a trap.

Heb. 13:5 ... 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
