Comments by Joan Boney:
In 2019, I was looking at my 25-year-old car and "thought" maybe I will have new upholstery put on the front seat of my car.
The Holy Spirit in me said to my mind, "Or you could just buy a new car."
I was shocked! I'd never thought of doing this. But
I could buy a new car. I had sold my house in Texas and moved to Pam
Padgett's house in Colorado. I am partially crippled, only able to walk
with a walker short distances. And was 82 -years-old at that time.
(God was showing me a better way for me to go.)
That same night, I had a dream. I bought a new car. But I failed to ask "my dad" what car to buy.
The dream showed me a warning but I failed to recognize the warning. God was showing me to ask HIM what car to buy.
I told Pam about the word from the Holy Spirit and then the dream that night.
We went out the following day to look at cars.
I planned to pay for the car with some of the money which I had in my bank account from the sale of the house in Texas.
***
I wanted to buy a car which Pam would enjoy driving. I can no longer drive due to age and physical condition.
Also I wanted a car big enough for our 2 big dogs to ride in for we enjoy taking the dogs with us when to go out in the car. (and the dogs would cry out "cruel and unusual punishment" if we dared to leave them locked in the house while we drove away!)
***
We
drove several cars, and were test-driving an Acura MDX. As Pam exited
the parking lot of the car dealer, I heard this word from God. "You should drive a Mercedes."
I did not try the spirit to see if that word was from the Spirit of God. (Mistake.)
We
bought the Acura MDX. It was a pretty car and we considered it to be
very nice. It was an SUV and we bought it for $49,000. (Under-priced
for it was a new car but was 2019 model, which didn't matter to us. It was currently
2020.)
***
I've
had 7 different bones broken in my body. As I rode in the MDX, even
short distances, I noticed there was always pain when I returned home. I
usually had to take aspirin and go to bed for an hour or so.
It grew worse as I grew older.
After 3 1/2 years, I mostly stayed home when Pam went to grocery rather than ride in car that caused pain.
Pam realized she didn't even like driving the MDX.

In 2023, we decided to look for another car ... one with good air-suspension.
I remembered the word I had heard from God in 2020 when we bought the Acura. "You should drive a Mercedes."
In order to get the "super" air suspension, we had to go up to the Mercedes S-class. When I stepped into the car, even before starting the engine, I said, "Now this is a car!"
When the car moves, it is like driving on glass. (It was like I remember the old 1960 Cadillacs and Lincolns.)
It was expensive. Most of us don't want to spend our money.
Thoughts come: "What if you need that money later." (I did not try that spirit.)
The apostle John said in I John 4:4, Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.
(Hopefully now I would "try the spirit" that said I might "need" that money later.)
See Chapters 4 & 5 concerning "Trying the Spirit".
But I did pray, asking God if it was alright to spend that much money on a car.
God brought to my mind the following scriptures:
Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will HE withhold from them that walk uprightly.
I Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
After keeping the car overnight and driving it up into the mountains, Pam said: "I love this car."
I used a portion of the money from the sale of the house in Texas and paid cash for the car. Nov. 6, 2023
Recently
I realized not once have I returned home from trips about town and had
any pain surface in my body as a result of car motion.
I was telling this to Barbara Preston and she said: "It seems this car was made for you." I remembered: In
1985, I was looking at cars and realized the cars they were making were
shorter and didn't ride as well as the older cars. I prayed: "God ... please have someone make a car for me. I know I will need to change cars later and I need a car that rides well."
I thanked God for answering my prayer of 1985 when I needed a car in 2023.
Since the time of the purchase of this current car, I have often thanked God for this car and so has Pam.
There is a scripture which says ... "bringing many thanks to God."

In
approximately 2020, God began showing me to put things in my bedroom
that I enjoy ... that cause me to have peace and make me smile. Because
things in future will get much worse and we will need some things that
cause us a measure of joy.
One day, I saw this photo in a magazine: I gasped! To me it was so beautiful.
I said, "If I had any place I could put that desk, I would buy it." (yellow is my favorite color.)
My bedroom-TV room is very small. Approximately 12x15 ft.
One
day, I opened my closet, and God showed me I could turn 1/2 of the
closet into a desk area. I don't have many clothes because I don't go
many places anymore at age of 87.
I bought the desk and added a lamp made by the same artist, MacKenzie Childs. Also, I bought a small rug to use under the desk.
I changed louvered doors to sliding doors. Glass panels in sliding doors allow night light for room.
Pam
was able to put wallpaper on walls in the closet behind the desk so she
put the bold stripe wallpaper and the black and gold side panel on the
wall.
Notice the fresh cut flowers at the theater seat. I
felt God led me to put fresh flowers in my room. During summer, Pam
cuts fresh flowers from our yard area. During winter, she brings fresh
flowers from supermarket as needed. There is always a nice vase of flowers in my bedroom.
Pam
took a cardboard box and painted it black and put peel & stick tile
on the sides and put it at the center of the double seat so I would
have extra room to put things like the flowers, salt & pepper
shaker, sugar bowl, drinking glass, TV remote.
(Also, notice the bone china coffee cup in the photo. I had always
wondered what it would be like to drink from Royal Albert coffee cup.
God led me to buy one on-line.)
***
I
keep a porta-potty in my bedroom because it is too dangerous at night
for me to go across the hall to bathroom. Pam painted it high gloss
black and bought a queen bee pillow and attached it to back rail. She
put black checked wallpaper under the porta-potty to match the Mackenzie
Child vase which is on the top of the sound speaker and the vase on top
of the desk.
A
special work is a frog butler, Herman. (Art work by MacKenzie Child
Studio.) On the tray I keep a small Kindle tablet which has Bible
loaded along with other books.
Everywhere I go in my bedroom there are small items which are interesting art works for me to enjoy.
I rarely go out of my bedroom. Everything I need is in this one room for me to use and enjoy.
It reminds me of the provision made for the Old Testament prophet Elisha.
2 Kings 4
8
And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great
woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft
as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.
10 Let
us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for
him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it
shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.

I
had a large house in Lubbock, Texas, which I had built from money when I
sold my other house where my mother and I lived in New Mexico.
God
was going to use the money from the Texas house later to pay for other
items which I could enjoy in my old age. (I take no salary from
ministry. I have monthly check from USA Social Security for $1000.
That is ample to provide for extras.)
As I grew older, I really wanted to have what Elisha had ... one room with all my stuff in that room. That is exactly what I have now at 87-years-of age. It is so easy for me to reach my tablets, drink glasses, TV remote.
Little things like this provide variety for me and help me to enjoy my day as I live in my bedroom with all my things.
Live in peace, joy, gladness.
God provides me with all things to enjoy.
Here are a few other items I enjoy:
Frog fountain, Flamingos, Geese (MacKenzie Childs)
Tree with lights in back yard
But best of all, when
I could no longer live alone, God moved me to Colorado Springs where I
live in the home of Pam Padgett, a woman of faith who lives by turning
to God as I do.
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
The power that worketh in us is the Holy Spirit who tells us what to do as we continue to live on this present earth.
John 14:26 Jesus says: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
14 HE shall glorify ME: for HE shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.
The apostle John says in I John 4:
1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are
of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye
have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.
(Concerning trying the spirits: see Chapters 4 & 5 in this book.)
