Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus says;
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
If they attend church and give money they often think they are alright.

Some see the evils in churches today and they leave and think they are alright.

Comments by Joan Boney:
This past summer, we hired a man to put outdoor lighting in our yard.
It turned out that Cameron was once a missionary in Africa. I liked him very much and spent many hours sharing God with Cameron.
I told him this: "I like you very much ... but you're not going to make it in things of God."
He was very shocked!
He knew almost no scripture.

The restraint against evil of antichrist and this world is the HOLY scripture.
2 Thessalonians 2 (NASB)
3 No one is to deceive you in any way! For it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
(The apostasy are the churches falling away from scripture.)
6 And you know what restrains him (antichrist) now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed.
(As long as the churches keep the doctrine of Holy Scriptures, those scriptures are the restraint keeping antichrist away from the churches. But when scriptures are removed and doctrines changed from the Bible, the door is open for antichrist to move into the church group.)
8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

In the 1940's ... some churches still taught this doctrine ...The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Paraphrased from Mt. 5:32)
Matthew 5:32 (KJV) Jesus said: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
(I've never heard this scripture taught at any church that I have attended since I was born again in 1975.)
In 1940's, a young man heard this doctrine at the church he was attending. He was married and had 3 children and his wife died of cancer and he wanted to remarry. He began looking at church for a suitable wife. (approximately 1970's)
My best friend, Donna, had been married and then divorced and kept it a secret at church that she was divorced. She met Hal. They fell in love and married.
Before they married she told Hal she was a divorced woman. He married her anyway though he knew it would be adultery to do so for that is what he had learned in church in the 1940 period.
When I learned in 1975 that Donna had been divorced, before marrying Hal, I asked Hal this question: "If you had known Donna was a divorced woman, would you have dated her as a potential wife?"
Hal thought about this for a few minutes, for he knew it would be adultery according to the Bible for him to marry a divorced woman. (Mt. 5:32)
Then Had said to me, "No. I don't think I would have dated a divorced woman."
He knew Donna had been divorced before he married her and he knew before marrying her she was divorced and he knew the scripture which said the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery, but the power of the scripture to restrain him was no longer there because of his fleshly love for Donna.
But at one time this scripture would have restrained Hal.

Scripture restrains us from sinning when we follow those scriptures doing what they tell us to do.
Antichrist reigns in what we do when scripture are changed and we fall away from scriptures of the Holy Bible.
Few find the way of life. Many go in the way of destruction.
***
I often encountered the falling away from scripture, antichrist, in preachers and doctrines set up at churches. But each time I saw the church failing to observe scripture, I left that antichrist church.
We cannot go to a church group where something is being taught at that church that is opposite to a scripture for this is antichrist in the church.
We must not be a part of doctrine that is opposite to Bible.
Few will find the way of life. Mt. 7:12-14 says Jesus.
