πŸ’₯ It is the doer of the word that is blessed.

James 1

18 Of HIS own will (God) begat HE us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Comments by Joan Boney:

I have an 8 inch Kindle tablet which is several years old.  I have a Bible on that tablet but it has gotten very slow when I click on the Bible and I find I get discouraged when I try to do regular Bible reading.

Therefore I have purchased 3 new slightly smaller Kindle tables which are much faster at bringing up the Bible.  (one for my car)

I can put one of the smaller Bibles by my bed to encourage me to read at night and meditate in scripture called to my attention as I have done for many years but gotten "lax" of late because it takes so long to pull up the Bible on the old tablets.

This is certainly no time to get lax in doing Joshua 1:8, with the devils getting more frantic and more furious as we grow closer to the last days.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
