James 1
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Revelation 12:12 ... Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Luke 21
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Surfeiting: - Having consumed something or done something to excess; stuff; overindulge

Isaiah 53:5 But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM; and with HIS stripes we are healed.

Matthew 10
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Acts 18:1-3 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
3 And because he (Paul) was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
It can seem a terrible thing that people are forced to leave their homes, as Aquila and Priscilla were forced to leave Italy because of Claudius' command.
But we see that as a result of being forced to leave Rome, Aquila and Priscilla met Paul and worked with him and he abode with them. Later we read that they traveled with Paul (Acts 18:18), and Paul referred to them as his helpers in Christ Jesus (Romans 16:3)
God is in control of all, and HE works out all that affects those HE has called and who love HIM (obey HIM), according to HIS purpose in the matter.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
And God has determined and appointed the times and places that we live on this earth, as we're told in Acts 17 ...
Acts 17:26-27 And (God) hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
To me it is calming and strengthening to consider that God is in control of all, working all things according to HIS will and purpose.
Thinking about these things, I thought of times in my life when God worked what seemed undesirable, and sometimes terrible, to something good according to HIS purpose.
One example was when I was diagnosed with a high-grade cancer in September, 2022. This was an incredible shock! But God worked even this for good ... a testimony of HIM. God showed me the type of treatment to use (chemotherapy with radiation) rather than the much more drastic treatment recommended by medical people (chemotherapy with bladder removal), and moved the medical people to go along with this treatment. HE sustained me through all of this with dreams, scriptures, and an open vision given to Joan Boney about the cancer. And since completing treatment in January, 2023, there has been no sign of cancer.

Many times I have been given opportunities to tell what God did in this to various people who come across my path. And I've been reminded of a scripture given to me shortly after being diagnosed with cancer which encourages me to share what God has done ...
John 9:1-3 And as Jesus passed by, HE saw a man which was blind from his birth.
2 And HIS disciples asked HIM, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Colossians 2
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in HIM dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And you are complete in HIM, which is the head of all principality and power;
