Isaiah 13:13  (God says)  Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of HIS fierce anger

(At the end of this world when God removes this heaven and earth with fire.)

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

(God said to me:  "No matter what you do, this earth will not be righteous.")

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Psalm 1

1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.

5 For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.

Yesterday I went to a fabric store, planning to get some fabric to make a drapery to cover my sliding-glass door. I thought I needed 9 yards of fabric, but the store did not have that much of either of the fabrics I felt would work, although they had 8-1/2 yards of one of those fabrics.

I didn't think of it at the time a woman at the fabric shop was helping me, but later I thought that perhaps 8-1/2 yards would be enough. I wished I had thought of this earlier.

Then the Holy Spirit brought a thought that I should re-measure the door. When I did this, I found that I needed 12 yards, not 9, as I had thought!  I was so glad that I hadn't purchased the 8-1/2 yards of fabric, for there is no way that would have worked.

And I was reminded of what we're told in Romans 8:28.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.

My disappointment turned to gratitude toward God, for I was kept from going in a way that wouldn't have worked.

Proverbs 3:1-6

1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our
Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Hymn - God will take care of you

1 Be not dismayed whate’er betide,
God will take care of you!
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you!

God will take care of you,
     Through every day o’er all the way;
     He will take care of you;
God will take care of you!

2 Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
God will take care of you!
When dangers fierce your path assail,
God will take care of you!

3 All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you!
Trust Him, and you will be satisfied,
God will take care of you!

4 Lonely and sad, from friends apart,
God will take care of you!
He will give peace to your aching heart,
God will take care of you!

5 No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you!
Lean, weary one, upon His breast (Word),
God will take care of you!
