This morning, I awoke to these words from God:
"Be ye holy, as I am holy."

For a few moments, I lay back and thought: "What is holy?"

Each person who is born again, is sealed with the Holy Spirit of God.
Ephesian 1
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of HIS will,
6 To the praise of the glory of HIS grace, wherein HE hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In WHOM we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of HIS grace;
8 Wherein HE hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of HIS will, according to HIS good pleasure which HE hath purposed in Himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times HE might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in HIM:
11 In WHOM also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of HIM who worketh all things after the counsel of HIS own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of HIS glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In WHOM ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of HIS glory.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
The Spirit of God is the Spirit of truth.
John 14:26 Jesus says: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

The Holy Spirit brings to our mind the truth on the issues at hand. We believe that which HE brings to our mind and we follow what HE tells us.
We read the Holy Bible which we believe is inspired by God. We conform our thinking to God's Word by HIS Spirit.
Romans 12:1-2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
We continually renew our mind by reading the Holy Bible. Our thinking is conformed to the Word of God and we are recreated continually to the image of Christ, The Word of God, as we read the Bible and do that which God says by HIS Word.
This world has wisdom of man.
We have wisdom from God, the Word.
We build our thinking on that Word from God in the issues of this present life, walking continually in that word, living continually in that word.
"Wait." until you hear from God on the matter at hand.
God says: I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: (Isaiah 45:2)
