πŸ’₯ Old Testament prophets are shown by God that which will come in the end times.

Comments by Joan Boney:

I have been rereading the prophecies the Old Testament prophets spoke of "The Day of the Lord," the coming of Jesus and the Great Tribulation of God and the end of this world which comes when God removes this present heaven and earth by fire.

Here are some of the statements shown them by God centuries ago which will come to pass, perhaps even in our lifetimes.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 26

20 Come, MY people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of HIS place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 27:13  (Jesus comes with the sound of a great trumpet)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.  (I believe this in the new Jerusalem wherein dwelleth righteousness.  2 Peter 3:13 & Revelation 21:1-5)

1 Thessalonians 4

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

(Jesus comes through the clouds and the children of God rise to meet Jesus in the air, but I do not believe Jesus comes back to this earth.  HE comes to get HIS people and HE takes them to the new heaven and new earth which God has created for them.  Revelation 21)

After the great tribulation, God destroys this present heaven and earth with fire. 2 Peter 3:10-14

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 29:06  Thou shalt be visited (judged) of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 30:27   Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with HIS anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: HIS lips are full of indignation, and HIS tongue as a devouring fire:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 30:30  And the LORD shall cause HIS glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of HIS arm, with the indignation of HIS anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 31

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt (the world) for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

2 Yet HE also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back HIS words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.

3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out HIS hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

4 For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.

6 Turn ye unto HIM from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.

7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 33:12  And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 34:04  And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Joel 1:15  Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Peter also spoke of the Day of the Lord and explained the following to us concerning time as God sees time:

2 Peter 3

1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: 2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of HIS coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So this helps us to understand why something seems delayed when someone in Bible says it will come quickly.  In God's sight a day is as a thousand years.  Looking at it that way, it would only be a little over two days in the sight of God since Jesus was crucified and resurrected.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Joel 2:1-2  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Joel 2:10  The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Joel 2:30-31  And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.  31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Joel 3:13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

15  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter HIS voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Amos 1:2 And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter HIS voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:

8  ...  and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.

Amos 5:14  Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

18  Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Amos 8:9  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Amos 9:10  All the sinners of MY people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.

I hear so many church goers say, "God will never let this happen to me."  I shudder in their boast for I know it is not "real" faith.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Amos 9:13  ...  and all the hills shall melt.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Obadiah 1:15  For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Micah 5

13 Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

14 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.

15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Micah 7:2-3  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

3 That they may do evil with both hands earnestly,

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Nahum 1:2  God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on HIS adversaries, and HE reserveth wrath for HIS enemies.

5 The mountains quake at HIM, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at HIS presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

6 Who can stand before HIS indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of HIS anger? HIS fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by HIM.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Matthew 24  (Jesus says)

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
