Comments by Joan Boney:
Many people, even church people, are caught up in politics of governments of men.
A Baptist woman came to me telling me how wonderful it was at her church group the previous Sunday. She said, "I registered my granddaughter to vote."
I was very shocked to learn that churches registered people to vote for governments of men of this present world!
Years later, this same woman came to me saying she had decided there was no hope in politics.
Good!
Our hope is in God and in the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. (II Peter 3:13)
It amazes me that so many people in churches want help from governments of men.

To vote for men of this world puts us in danger of hating the other side and also in joining with the unrighteous. Both can cause us loss in heaven.
If we approve someone and he does evil, we become partaker of his evil deeds and we will lose reward in heaven according to the apostle John.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
When we vote for a man, we approve that man. If that man goes out and commits evil, we then become partaker of his evil deeds and we will lose reward in heaven according to the apostle John.
II Timothy 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
Genesis 14:23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.

But God did tell us to pray for those in authority:
Therefore I do not vote for any human in governments of men.
I do pray for that person who is in authority when God calls that person to my attention.
We are as strangers and pilgrims on this earth, just observing but not really being a part of this present world.
We are the church and our life here is in Christ, the Word.

As Christians, we can't allow ourselves to get caught up in the hatred that is involved in politics.
Our kingdom is not of this world.
We must instead position ourselves to live in peace, trusting God to show us what to do that we have provision on this earth, knowing that as long as God leaves us on this earth, HE will provide for us.
Like Abraham, we want our help to be from God and not from men.
***
I do not want my provision to be from men but from God. Therefore I'm not looking for that which a government of men can do for me. I know that God will provide for me as long as HE choses to leave me on this earth.
Hebrews 11
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.
