* The testimony of Christ is confirmed in us.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet of Jesus Christ

I Corinthians 1:5-6   That in every thing ye are enriched by HIM, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;  Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

Each time we hear the Word, by the Holy Spirit of God, and do that Word, the testimony of Christ, The Word, is confirmed in us.

From the beginning of time, it has been this way.

Noah believed what God said to him and Noah did that thing which God said to do.

Abraham believed that which God said to him and Abraham did that which God said to do.

We are the same:  We hear from God and we do that which is appropriate to that Word which we have heard from God because we believe it was God who spoke that Word to us.

So the testimony of Christ is confirmed in us.

The night of December 6, 2018, I fell at my house in Texas.  I broke left hip and left wrist and was lying helpless in my bedroom hallway, about 6 feet from my phone.

As I tried to crawl on one side to phone, I heard a word from God.  I heard, "You can do this."

Because of that Word, I kept inching my body on the floor in direction of the phone.  It took about 4 hours for me to reach the table where the phone was located.  I pulled on the phone cord from the floor.  The phone handset squirted off somewhere, I never saw where.

But under that table I saw a Kindle tablet which had been recharging and was lying on the floor.

If I could get to that tablet, I could send an email to our church group asking them to send help.  After several tries, I reached the tablet.  It was difficult to send email but finally I managed this.

Pam Padgett, in Colorado, got the email and she called the Lubbock, Texas, police asking them to send an ambulance to my house.  They did and the ambulance workers put me on a gurney to take me to hospital.  As we rolled past the front door of my house, I heard a word which I knew was from God. "You'll never see this house again."

Even from the hospital, I put the Texas house up for sale.

A woman from our church group said, "I don't see how you can do this."

She had been in our church group for more than 30 years and apparently didn't understand "faith".

I replied:  "I believe God has told me I will never see this house again."

People watch that which we do and they often wonder "why" we are doing that. Even church members question that which we are doing.

When we do what we believe God has told us to do, we are often in for some surprises.

God told Noah to do something and Noah did that which God said.  Certainly people were watching and wondering what Noah was doing.

Genesis 6

5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the LORD that HE had made man on the earth, and it grieved HIM at HIS heart.

7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth ME that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before ME; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

(This would certainly attract the attention and speculation of the people of Noah's city.)

16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

18 But with thee will I establish MY covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.

20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

God spoke to Abram:

Genesis 12

1  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

(Abram had to leave his father and his relatives and his country and go into a land where he knew not where he was going, but God would show him after he went out.)

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

Don't you think his wife and relatives and friends wondered at what he was doing?

Have you ever been in a situation where you heard to do something and you believed it to be God who told you to do this thing and you set about to do it and people watched you and questioned you and doubted?

In 1975, when I was newly born again, I owned a business in Dallas, Texas.  A woman came into my store and an incident occurred whereby she thought she could get money from me.

She filed charges against me and took me to court.

I heard a word which I believed to be from God:  "Don't testify."

I told my lawyer that I felt God had told me not to testify therefore I would not be testifying in the court case and he might not want to represent me.

Lawyer said he would continue to represent me.  He said, "If you would testify we will win this case, but even without your testimony Flo's testimony will be strong enough for us to win."

(Flo worked for me and witnessed the incident.)

I thought nothing about my action but all types of things were to happen as a result of what I did.

When Flo learned I would not be testifying, she became very angry with me.  She said, "Since you aren't testifying, all the burden is upon me."

I replied, "What can I do?  I believe God has told me 'Don't testify', therefore I can't testify."

The man I was dating at that time said, "Joan ... You aren't doing this girl any favor by not testifying."

I replied, "I'm not trying to do her any favor.  I believe God told me 'Don't testify', and I'm just trying to do what I believe God wants me to do."

The case went to trial.

When the judge learned I was not testifying, he stopped writing and looked directly at me in shock and said:  "You're not testifying?"

I indicated I would not be testifying.

Flo's testimony didn't go as well as my lawyer had hoped.

Lawyer said to me:  "But if you will testify, I know we will win this case."

I told lawyer I would see and I went into the Ladies room at the courthouse and ask God what HE wanted me to do and I heard, "Don't testify."

I returned immediately to courtroom and lawyer looked at me as I entered the door and I shook my head to say, "No."

In two days, the trial ended.  I was acquitted.  It was over.

From the beginning of the time I was born again, it was clear to me that our role is to hear what God says to us and obey HIM.

In those days, I didn't know anything at all about the Holy Spirit but still I knew we must do what we believe God has told us to do.

Later I learned the following:

John 14:26  Jesus says:   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The Holy Spirit brings to our minds the will of God in the matter at hand.  We simply do what the Spirit shows us to do.

This is the difference between those who are really born again of the Spirit of God and those in churches who are not born of the Spirit of God.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Having the Spirit of God in us makes all the difference in knowing what to do as we live on this present earth.
