πŸ’₯ We know we are going to win for God has told us what to do ahead of time and we follow HIM.

God had told them and shown them.

Is that the way you enter a project?

* Abraham:
Genesis 12
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him;

 * Moses:

Exodus 2

23  And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered HIS covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

I John 5

14 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:

15 And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Exodus 1

22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born (to the Hebrews houses) ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Exodus 2

1 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?

14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

*Joshua and Caleb:

Numbers 13

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

3 And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
Of the 12 men, only Joshua and Caleb brought back a good report, knowing God would win out in overcoming that land.
Ten men brought back an evil report because they had no faith in God and didn't believe what God said to them.
Numbers 13
25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.

26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.

27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
***

30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
God killed those men who brought the evil report and God would not allow any of them to enter into the promised land.  Their carcasses fell in the wilderness.
Hebrews 3
While it is said, To day if ye will hear HIS voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

17 But with whom was HE grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

18 And to whom sware HE that they should not enter into HIS rest, but to them that believed not?

19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Numbers 13-14

Joan Boney prayer:  (several times for at least 2 1/2 decades)
To God:  "If anything happens to me where I can't take care of myself. Please never put Sandra in charge of me."
December, 2018  Night before surgery.  Nurse comes to my room and says:  "Before we can operate on you, we must know who is in charge of you if you can't care for yourself." Without any thought at all, I reply: "Pam Padgett is in charge of me."  (I had not asked Pam.  It was just what it was.)
It was told to Pam that I said she was in charge of me.  She thought about it for a second and then replied:  "OK."  Then Pam said to God:  "Well ... what do we do now?"

* Pam Padgett against cancer:

September, 2022:  Surgeon says to Pam: You must have a series of chemotherapy followed by surgical removal of your bladder.  If you do not do this, you will be dead in a year, 2 years at the very most. Then for remainder of your life you must wear a bag or device to artificially remove waste from your body.

Pam didn't mind having the chemotherapy treatments, but she greatly minded the thought of removal of her bladder and having to use artificial means for waste removal for the rest of her life. So Pam ask God if there was any way surgery could be eliminated from the cancer plan.

God changed the plan to chemo with radiation. No surgery.

* Joan Boney:  to God:  upon being told of Pam Padgett's cancer.  "This is illegal!  YOU put me to live at Pam Padgett's house.  YOU are not going to kill Pam and leave me alone to try to take care of 2 dogs and 4 cats when I can't even take care of myself.

The Bible says of YOU:  James 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

With YOU there is no variableness, and not even a shadow of turning.

This will not happen.  YOU cannot be overcome this way.  There is not even a "shadow" of turning with YOU.

YOUR plans come to pass.  Nothing and no one overcomes YOU.

Now ...Cancer is gone from Pam. All tests for cancer negative now

2020:  While test driving Acura MDX car:  God said to me:  "You should drive a Mercedes."

(We bought that Acura.  3 1/2 years later, we bought a Mercedes and got rid of the Acura.)  God got us where we needed to be.  We bought a Mercedes and sold the Acura.)

In the previous years, I had 7 broken bones in my body.  I needed a car with good air suspension which I could ride in without pain.  God knew which car that would be and HE told me, but at first I didn't follow HIM and the pain when I rode in the Acura was constant.  That has not been the case with the Mercedes.

God knows the way we should go and HE tells us but we must follow HIM to win.

πŸ’₯ The men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly. Gen. 13:13

Genesis 13

8 And Abram said unto Lot (his nephew), Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.

9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Lot chose to live in Sodom because it was beautiful land. But the men at Sodom were wicked and sinners exceedingly.  They were homosexuals in every quarter of the city of Sodom.

Genesis 19  God sends 2 angels to destroy Sodom

1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. (have sex with them)

6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,

7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

(Lot knew homosexual acts were wicked in God's sight.)

8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

10 But the men
(the 2 angels) put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.

11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

(Angels have great power.)

12 And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

(At the end of the world, the cry of wickedness of the people of this world rises before God and God will destroy this world for the wickedness of men.)

2 Peter 3

10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

 Genesis 19

14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

(If we try to remain among the wicked, we will be consumed by their wickedness.)

16 And while he
(Lot) lingered, the men (the angels) laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.

21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.

22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

***

23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.

26 But his
(Lot's) wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

***

27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD:

28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

The mountain is where the angels told Lot to go for safety but Lot thought he knew best.  We see he changed his mind about Zoan and went where the angels said to go in the first place.

God’s Promises To Abraham and The Testing of Abraham

God spoke to Abraham and gave him an instruction and a promise.

Genesis 12:1-4 … Now the Lord had said unto Abram,

Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:

and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him;

*****

Abraham believed God, and we read,

Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Romans 4:3

So Abram left his father’s house as God told him to do. He didn’t know exactly where to go. He just departed by “faith”, believing God said to depart.

And God spoke to Abram again …

Genesis 13:14-18 … And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the Lord.

*****

Sarah (Abraham’s wife) was barren. Abraham wondered how God could fulfill HIS promise since he had no children and both he and Sarah were very old … Abraham discussed this with God ...

Genesis 15:1-6After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying,

Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?  And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

And HE (God) brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and HE said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

And he believed in the Lord; and HE counted it to him for righteousness.

After I was born again (1975), in the night, I was "transported" into heaven. I was with God, and Jesus, and Holy Spirit. At that time, I was merged into the body of Jesus (made one with the WORD of God), God and Holy Spirit witnessing.

A few nights later, the exact same thing happened again. (I didn't see any physical images. It was an experience in spirit.)

I didn't know what it meant.

After that, I was reading a book about Exodus and the writer talked about the burning bush which got Moses attention, and said when God has a call on your life, sometimes there will be an unusual experience also.

I was driving along the road one day back then and I heard, in form of thought: "I've called you and set you into the body of Christ as an apostle."

I was so shocked. I remembered crying out: "Apostle ... what's that!"

They professed to believe there are apostles in churches today but when I asked our Sunday school teacher who the apostles were at that church, he didn't know. Neither could he tell me what NT apostles do in the church.

(I didn't tell him or anyone else at that church what had happened to me. But so many at that church recognized a very strong call of God on my life. Pastor said from pulpit: "Joan is not a teacher. She is a prophet." Right. But no one knew about the other office, apostle.)

Through the years, I've had more than one person tell me I could not be an apostle, though I could be a prophet.

No matter what any human said to me on this, I knew what God said to me and I believed it was God ... later the fruits also lined up with that which God showed me both these callings are ... the apostle/prophet works are there in abundance, confirming the call.

I don't believe any human could convince me otherwise.

That is what real faith is. That is what Abraham was. He knew God had spoken to him and he believed it was God and believed what God said.

Jesus once spoke of how difficult it was for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mt. 19:23-26 … Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

*****

The promises of God are about believing.

The apostle Paul said:

But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:19

God says …

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  Heb. 13:5

Jesus says …

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.  (Matt. 6:31-34)

Can you believe what God has said to you?

Part of the key to believing and to continuing to believe is doing the following: meditating on the Word God has spoken to you day and night …

People rejoice when they hear the word, but then Satan commeth immediately and snatches the word from their hearts. Mk. 4

To keep this from happening, learn to keep that word before you day and night … build a deep root system for that Word of God to grow inside you.

*****

The Word comes to us by the Holy Spirit through scripture, through thoughts, through dreams …

It doesn’t matter how the Word comes, what matters is the Word.

Keep the Word before you day and night and use that Word to fight all opposing thoughts of the flesh and devil.

Joshua 1:8-9 … This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

God says, “Didn’t I give you that word?”

We must not allow the flesh to reason the word of God away nor can we allow the devil to steal that word given by God.

We have to “labor” to enter into God’s rest by focusing on that word given to us. We might have to keep it before us many days, or months, or even years. In time, it will grow strong in us and be a sure foundation for us. And we live our lives on that word, living in belief. Acting in belief. Doing in keeping with belief.

If a person comes to me saying, “I know God will heal me.” And then that person says, “Pray for me.” I know that person doesn’t really believe, because if he believed he wouldn’t be acting in unbelief by asking me to pray for that which he professes to believe but really doesn’t believe.

Genesis 16:1-4 … Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.

Ishmael was born.

But Ishmael was not going to be the heir. It was not going to be by Ishmael that the promise of God to Abraham would be fulfilled.

God had another plan which man couldn’t imagine.

Genesis 17:1-5 … And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before ME, and be thou perfect. And I will make MY covenant between ME and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for ME, behold, MY covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

(Abraham was going to be made “a new creature” as we are changed to “a new creature” by God after God reveals HIMSELF to us. The name change from Abram to Abraham is symbolic of this “new creation.”)

Genesis 17 …

6-22  And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish MY covenant between ME and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.   And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep MY covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is MY covenant, which ye shall keep, between ME and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt ME and you.  And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.  He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and MY covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.  And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken MY covenant.

And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.  And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish MY covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But MY covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.  And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

God would do that which God said HE would do. And so it is always. God always does what HE says HE will do.

God is not a man, that HE should lie … Numbers 23:19

Genesis 18:1-15 …And the Lord appeared unto him (to Abraham) in the plains of Mamre: and he (Abraham) sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him:

and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on:

for therefore are ye come to your servant.

And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife?

And he said, Behold, in the tent.

And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.

And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid.

And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD? IS ANYTHING IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD?

God created heavens and earth and all that is therein.

How can anything be too hard for God?

This is a fundamental concept for us to grasp and hold onto.

Genesis 21:1-8And the Lord visited Sarah as HE had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as HE had spoken.

For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

Genesis 22:1-19And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham:

and he (Abraham) said, Behold, here I am.

And HE (God) said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.

And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father:

and he (Abraham) said, Here am I, my son.

And he (Isaac) said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

And Abraham said, My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering:

so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he (Abraham) said, Here am I.

And he (the angel of the LORD) said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed My voice.

So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

Abraham reasoned that even when he killed Isaac, God would be able to raise Isaac from the dead. We read of this in Hebrews 11 as follows:

17-19  By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

Isaac was conceived by “dead” people … since both Abraham and Sarah were as the “dead” at the ages of 100 and 90.

And what of our faith when compared to Abraham?

It should be the same. Abraham believed God. Shouldn’t we also believe what God says to us? Faith is hearing what God says and believing what God says. What God says, we should believe God is able to perform. And God will do what HE says to us in the word spoken, whether scripture or dreams for all God speaks is "The Word."

We just keep the flesh and the devil from stealing God’s word as we keep God’s word before us day and night … for days, for months, or for years to encourage us and to show us what will happen.

Luke 12 (Reading through the Bible)

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, HE began to say unto HIS disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

***

And I say unto you MY friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear HIM, which after HE hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear HIM.

***

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

***

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess ME (The Word) before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

But he that denieth ME (The Word) before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

***

10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

***

11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

***

13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

14 And HE said unto him, Man, who made ME a judge or a divider over you?

15 And HE said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

***

16 And He spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.  19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

20 But God said unto him,  Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

***

22 And HE said unto HIS disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

(What good are your many thoughts?  You can't grow one inch taller by thinking about it.)

26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will HE clothe you, O ye of little faith?

29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

***

33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

***

35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

***

41 Then Peter said unto Him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.

For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

***

49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

(When the WORD comes, it divides the believer from the unbeliever.)

***

54 And HE said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

55 And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.

56 Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison. 59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.

πŸ’₯ Faith in God

Before Abraham, Noah also showed faith in God.

Faith with both of the men was identical.  God spoke to them.  They believed it was God speaking.  So they did what God said.  And God confirmed HIS Word with signs following.

And so it is today.  The same.  When it is God speaking to us, HIS signs follow which confirm that it was God speaking.

We go forward doing that which we believe God said to do and God confirms HIS Word with signs following.

Mark 16:20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

***

God speaks to Abraham ... God speaks to us, HIS children, today, bringing concepts and information to our minds and planting HIS Word in our heart so we know what to do.

We build our faith in God speaking as we read the scriptures where God spoke to Abraham.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot
(his nephew) went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

***

Genesis 12

6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.

7 And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.

8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.

***

Genesis 12

And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.

11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:

12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.

13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.

14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.

15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.

17 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.

18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?

19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.

20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

***

Genesis 13

1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.

2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

3 And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;

4 Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.

***

God separated Lot from Abraham:

Genesis 13

6  And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.

8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.

(The men of Sodom were homosexuals.)

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (to what God says in the Bible), that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

God's thoughts toward homosexuals and lesbians:

Romans 1  (Paul says)

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of HIM from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified HIM not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

***

Some say they were born homosexual or lesbian ... BUT WHAT DOES GOD SAY?

Mark 10  Jesus says ... 6  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

Romans 1 tells us that God gave them over to be homosexuals and lesbians because they did not keep the knowledge of HIM in their hearts ... and they went into way of vile affections.  They will bring on themselves the wrath of God.

***

I Thessalonians 5

1But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

***

In all things pertaining to this present life, we line our thinking up to the Bible, the Holy Word of God.  We conform to that which God presents to us and change our thinking to that which we read in the Bible.

We build our house on the Word of God.

Romans 12:2   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (to the Holy Bible), that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
