Don't overlook the importance of this scripture in connection with the events happening today in Israel.
Luke 21:20-22 (Jesus says)
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
I believe this is what we are seeing now with the war going on in Israel. We don't know how long the days of vengeance will go on. It could be a year or multiple years. We do know from scripture that following the days of vengeance will be the great tribulation and Jesus returns to gather the children of God.
Since 1948 and the establishment of the nation of Israel, we have never seen what we are seeing now. There have been attacks between Israel and other Arab nations, But this one is different. As soon as I heard Hamas had attacked Israel, I was reminded of scripture saying "When Jerusalem is compassed by armies", and I asked Pam where that scripture was and she looked it up and said Luke 21.
