If so, this is the reason.
Centuries ago the apostle Paul was shown by God what to expect to see as we near the end times.
Paul says:
2 Timothy 3
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness (often attending church), but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Several months ago, I had the following dream: It would be all right if individuals would pay their debt ... but they won't.

When I leave the house and go out into the world, which is not often, I usually return to the house thinking, "I just want to stay home and not go out again."
Peter tells us as we wait for the return of Jesus to live in peace, without spot, and blameless.
I do work to do that!
Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Praying often: "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."
(Psa. 51:10)
