A promise of God:

James 1:5

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

(Keep this before your eyes until you are certain you believe this statement.  Then ask God what you will because you do believe God will give you that wisdom that you need in the area of that need.)

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law (scripture or word spoken to you by the Spirit of God) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

How do you recognize the wisdom that comes from God?  

Ideas come to our minds.  Those ideas could be from our own thinking.  Or ideas could come from other people.  Or ideas could come from devils to harm us.  Or ideas could come from God by thoughts God sends to our minds.

James 3

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

(Proverbs 14:12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.)

God says:  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.  (Mt. 11:30)
