πŸ’₯ John 3:6

Jesus says:

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

At the time of our life, when we are born of our natural parents, we are born of the flesh of man.  As such, we do the works of the flesh as we grow into men and women.

Galatians 5:19-21  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

When God reveals HIMSELF to us, we are born of God ... of the Spirit.

At that time God puts HIS own Spirit, the Holy Spirit, into us so we can do the works of God.

And by the Spirit of God, going in the way shown us by the Spirit, we then produce the fruits of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-26

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The flesh brings us a thought of what to do and feel.  The Spirit brings us thoughts which are opposite to the thoughts of our flesh.

We choose to go in the way of the Spirit, thus overcoming our own flesh and keeping our flesh under the control of the Spirit.

Revelation 3:5  Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

When we are born of God, we have the Holy Spirit of God living in us.

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

We recognize those who have the Spirit of God for we have the same Spirit when we are born of God.

Ephesians 4

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

When we have the same Spirit of God, we are one in God.

I John 4

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Many attend churches and say the are Christians.  But few have the Spirit of God.  We know them by that Spirit that is in them.  And they recognize us by that Spirit that is in us.

Once God gave me this dream:  A war was going on.  The problem was we couldn't tell which were our army because we were all dressed alike.  So God gave us a password, then we knew which were in our army.

Today, so many say they are Christians, but we are all dressed alike.  Those who have the Spirit of God are the Christians and belong to God.

We know each other by the Spirit.
