(Comments by Joan Boney)
I believe we are currently living in the end time period Jesus calls "The Beginning of Sorrows."
Matthew 24:8 (Jesus says)
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
This comes before Jesus returns to awaken the dead and to gather the elect to take them to the new heaven and new earth which God has created for them for eternal life shown to John in the following scripture:
Revelation 21:1-5 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

In the period of The Beginning of Sorrows,
Matthew 24
4-5And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. WW I & WW II covering the whole earth which had never been seen before. Regional wars also.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences (Coronavirus of 2020), and earthquakes (50,000 killed in 2023 in Turkey & Syria), in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

These are preludes to the coming of Jesus and The Great tribulation where God pours out plagues upon this world as a judgment before the end of this world. The 7 angels bring the first 7 plagues. Then 7 more angels pour out vials containing various "woes" upon this earth.
At the end of this world, God destroys this present heaven and earth with fire.
2 Peter 3:10-14
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Set yourself in agreement with the scriptures in the Holy Bible. Put yourself in the way of God. Correct your way. Repent of any evil before the judgment of God consumes this earth and before Jesus gathers the elect.
Go forward in the wisdom of God.

1 My son, if thou wilt receive MY words, and hide MY commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
As I read the Bible, I'm always looking for scripture to do.
For the doer of the Word is blessed. (James 1:25)
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of HIS mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
π₯π₯π₯
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of HIS mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
(Romans 12:2... And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, to Bible, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God)
7 HE layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: HE is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
7 HE layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: HE is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
(The righteous are those who seek the ways of God and do that which is right in the sight of God. We learn by the Word of God by the examples given us in the Holy Bible.)
8 HE (God) keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of HIS saints.
(buckler: a shield ... When we follow the scriptures and see the examples in the Bible, we are shielded from many temptations of this world as we choose to do that which we believe to be right in the sight of God.)
8 HE (God) keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of HIS saints.
(The Holy Spirit of God who lives in us searches the heart of God and brings to our mind what HE hears from God and we go that way. 1 Cor. 2:10-12 The Holy Spirit is always compatible with the Holy Scriptures and HE will not go against the scriptures.)
9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil, from the man that speaketh froward things;
Proverbs 2
16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
(discretion: doing that which is called to your memory which is compatible with the scriptures; usually doing that which is right by the Spirit of God.)
12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil, from the man that speaketh froward things;
(froward: stubbornly unruly, especially against the Word of God)
13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
π₯π₯π₯
(We know evil for we know the scriptures: Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft (superstitions), hatred, variance (to vary/ debate), emulations (to try to outdo another person), wrath (to want evil to come to another), strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings (partying, usually with excess of drugs or alcohol), and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith (in God and in HIS word), meekness, temperance:
π₯π₯π₯
Proverbs 2
14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
π₯π₯π₯
16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good, and keep the paths of the righteous.
π₯π₯π₯
21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
It will get much worse in the days ahead on this earth.
No wonder Jesus said: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Mt. 24:21-22)
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Mt. 24:21-22)
We must learn to operate in God's wisdom, obeying the Holy Scriptures.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
