Recently God called this to my attention: When a person gives us a list of reasons is he not reasoning from his own mind?
When we seek God as to what we should do, don't we say: "I believe God showed me this."

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Certainly our own understanding, our own reasoning could be faulty.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
I have begun re-reading the Old Testament. Today I began asking God to give me wisdom as I read these scriptures. (As a new Christian, I wrote above each chapter of my paper Bible, "Ask God for wisdom." I want to return to doing what I once did, asking for wisdom before reading.)
