* Violence in the days of Noah before God destroyed the earth.

Comments by Joan Boney:

Violence was a way of man in the days of Noah.

Genesis 6

5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before ME; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Jesus said the days of the end times would be as the days of Noah and as the days of Lot.

In the days of Noah:  Violence was foremost.  Genesis 6

In the days of Lot:  Homosexuals came from every quarter of Sodom to have sex with the 2 men who came into Lot's house.  Genesis 19

Are these two factors signs of the closeness of the wrath of God of that great tribulation that we know is coming upon this earth?

Revelation 12:12 ... Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

It seems to me there is an increase in violence, especially in USA.

* We were shocked by the riot against the USA Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

* We are shocked almost daily by rampant shootings in public places in USA.

* I am shocked by the protesters who feign "good" as they gather in streets in such a violent, hostile manner, often breaking store windows and looting businesses in their protests.

* And I am grieved by church groups who set aside scriptures and invite unrepentant sinners to join them in the church.

The wickedness in man increases today in the last days.

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

The apostle Paul says:

1 Timothy 4:1-3  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Paul warned Timothy that the time would come when men would not accept "sound doctrine" in the churches.

2 Timothy 4:1-3   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Paul tells us churches will fall away from scripture allowing antichrist to come into the church and set up doctrines by his own thinking which are opposite to doctrines of Christ in the New Testament Bible.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

We have seen this falling away from scriptures in churches all over the world as churches try to appease men of this world and draw people to themselves.

All these things had to happen before Jesus returns.

And the apostle Peter tells us:

2 Peter 3:14  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Live in peace daily through prayer doing the following when you are troubled:

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (The Word).

As we pray daily over all troubles and concerns and fears and dreads, we connect with God, and this prayer makes us "worthy to escape" all these things that are coming upon this earth.

Luke 21   Jesus says:

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
