* The commandments of God are not grievous but are peace, and life, and safety to us.

Comments by Joan Boney:

I John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep HIS commandments: and HIS commandments are not grievous.

God's commandments are not grievous for we follow the Spirit of God and thereby the Spirit leads us at all times in the way of God therefore we delight in the way of God because the Spirit of God lives in us.  The Holy Spirit will not take us in the way of the flesh of man because this way is opposite to the way of God.

I thank God for HIS commandments for they are as signposts which keep us on the highway of God.

Never do I find the commandments of God to be grievous, for they are life to us.  They are never burdens, but they are peace and help and safety, for God would help us if we will let HIM do so.

Matthew 7:13-14    Jesus says:

13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

*  Get out of debt.  Stay out of debt. Live within your means.  Be free.! Be content with such things as you have. Love not the world neither the things of this world.  Everything we can see with our natural eye will be destroyed by God.  Live in peace, without spot and blameless.

*  Be not conformed to this world but be transformed by renewing of your mind to the word of God.

*  The things of this world are temporal (temporary) but the things of God are eternal.

*  Let not the wife depart from her husband.  Let not the husband put away his wife.

*  Let the wife be an helper to her husband and let her care for her children, demonstrating godliness to all at all times, for this is the way of God and those who have the Spirit of God follow God's way and delight in God's way.  It is freedom from sin and freedom from the world.

*  Let the husband work and care for his family in all godliness.
