Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
It is the Lord who adds us to the church, by HIS will.
Acts 2:47 And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Those of us who are born again know it was not anything good in our own selves which caused us to become children of God!
Therefore there is a humility in being a Christian.
Many church-goers do not have this humility. I believe such people put themselves into the church as they boast of that which God will do or of that which God will not do.
They somehow think themselves to know.
But it is only the Spirit of God who knows the heart of God ... and sometimes the Spirit of God reveals to us the heart of God on the issue at hand ... and then we "know" and share that which the Spirit of God revealed to us.
But to say of our own selves that which God will do is boastful.
We might qualify a statement as Paul did when he said, "I think I have the Spirit of God on this matter." (I Corinthians 7)

Another subject:
Proverbs 16:27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.
Before Coronavirus, I rarely saw a newscast. But since this surfaced, I have been interested in keeping up with that which is going on.
However, often there is a good deal of evil coming from the TV news or from those people answering questions or making reports on TV.
I don't like hearing this so I shun such reports when possible.
Recently I heard the TV news man ask the governor of New York a question that was clearly aimed at digging up evil against President Trump.
I am very non-political. I am not registered to vote in either party and I often see evil in which ever party is in charge.
(I can't see, from Bible, God commanding us to vote in elections and I choose not to do this. Also I know it is evil for us to say "god speed" to another who might do evil for to wish him well in his doings is to make our own selves a part of his evil deeds.)
II John
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Sometimes I do pray for the president as we are told to do in Bible.
I Timothy 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
As I was trying to turn off the sound I heard this evil question coming from the newscaster, I couldn't get the sound muted before the governor responded. I was very happy to hear that governor avoid this evil question and to avoid the trap of evil set by the newscaster!
Newscasters are usually just worldly men digging up controversies.
When I do watch news, I tend to mute the sound, reading the captions and focusing only on those stories which I have some interest, such as the economy during this virus situation.
But at all times, we must be cautious lest evil be planted needlessly in our hearts.

There is a genuine time to warn each other concerning evil, especially in the churches, but we must not fall into wanting to dig up evil of ourselves.
When the Spirit of God shows us evil, as HE sometimes does, then we warn others to turn them from that which God considers to be evil, especially in churches.
I was shown this by the following scripture where the apostle Paul warned a church about a specific man.
II Timothy 4:14-15 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
I believe this shows us we must warn one another when we do see evil. But we do not try to find evil.
