* Jezebel swears to kill Elijah. The prophet flees into the wilderness. The angel of God helps Elijah.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Elijah has slain the 450 prophets of Baal, Jezebel's prophets.

I Kings 19:1    And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

(Today by the sword of the Spirit, the word of God, we cut off the heads of the false prophets and the false teachers and the false ministers and the false individuals in the congregations in today's churches, as we bring correction from God to them, and to the churches.)

In trying to find a church group that I could attend, I visited various churches.

Twice I encountered exactly the same thing.  The pastor spoke things as if they were in the Bible but I couldn't find these things in the Bible when I looked at the Bible after the services.

In both cases, I called these pastors the following day, telling pastors I had visited their church service and I asked where what they spoke was in the Bible.

In both cases, these pastors said, "I can't remember exactly where that is in the Bible."

In both cases, I said:  "It is really important for me to know this, so would you please look it up and have your secretary call me and tell me where it is in the Bible?"

With very angry voices, both of these pastors said the same thing:

"All right ... it's not in the Bible ..."  and both pastors said words to try to attack me.

I have found it is not unusual to find men say things at their church groups which are not in the Bible yet are presented to the congregation as if the doctrine they are speaking is in the Bible.

When this happens, it is antichrist in the church.

Antichrist is not one man.  The devil is not one man, but a spirit in many men.  So is antichrist a spirit in many men today in the church, "in the temple of God," just like Paul said:

II Thessalonians 2:3-4   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The "falling away" are churches falling away from portions of scripture.  And by that the man of sin is revealed in the church groups for it is only by the removal of scripture that the restraint against antichrist is removed so antichrist can surface in the church group showing himself as a god.

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Antichrist does not come through governments of men as many churches have taught, but rather antichrist comes through the church itself, and antichrist is already here.

Antichrist was already there in the churches in the day of the apostles John and Paul.

John says:  I John 2:18    Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Paul explained: Acts 20:29-30   For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.   Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

The end-time apostasy is rampant throughout church groups today.

If you can't see this, either you do not know enough Bible or you are one of them.

I Kings 19:2-3
Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

And when he saw that, he (Elijah) arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

Elijah asks God to let him die:

4 But he (Elijah) himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

Prophet work can be very difficult.

The angel of God helps Elijah:

5-8   And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.

And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.

And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

The word of God comes to Elijah:

I Kings 19:9-14    And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and HE (God) said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

And he (Elijah) said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

And HE (God) said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord.

And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave.

And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

And he (Elijah) said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken THY covenant, thrown down Thine altars, and slain THY prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

God gives the prophet Elijah work to do:

I Kings 19:15-18  And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:

And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

18 Yet I have left ME seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Elijah casts his mantle on Elisha:

I Kings 19:19-21   So he (Elijah) departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

And he (Elisha) left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee.

And he (Elijah) said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?

And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat.

Then he (Elisha) arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
