Jesus warned us as follows:
Matthew 24
4-5 Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in MY name, saying, I (Jesus) am Christ; and shall deceive many.
They come into the church saying, "Jesus is Lord".
Many come saying they are ministers. Others are seated in the congregation, having gone though water baptism and such but do not have the Spirit of God.
They say, Jesus is Lord, but they deny the doctrines of Christ, setting up other doctrines.
They permit and approve divorce and remarriage. They approve men marrying divorced women. They even, in some cases, approve homosexuals. Fornication is ignored in many churches.
They refuse to look into such matters, sitting with all manner of sin in the congregation.
When a divorced man in our church group was said to have "a girlfriend", I went to him and asked him about this girlfriend. I point blank asked him, "Are you having sex with this woman?" He replied, "Of course." I told him he knew the Bible as well as I did and because of this I would not be able to have anything to do with him. He said, "OK." (He didn't care.) At one point this man was an elder in a church group and was said to be a Bible teacher.
The doctrine of Christ:
The apostle Paul said, I Cor. 5 ... 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 13 Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
When a man in our church group was planning to divorce his wife, even having filed divorce proceedings against her, I contacted him as soon as I heard of this and asked him, "Was she unfaithful to you?" He replied, "No." I told him the only scriptural reason a man could divorce a wife was if she was unfaithful. After that he withdrew the divorce from the US courts. This man chose to live in the doctrine of Christ, the scripture.
Jesus said: Mt. 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
How is it that we can explain away doctrines of Christ in today's church and still say "Jesus is our Lord" since Jesus is The Word. If we will not permit the scriptures to rule over us then no matter what we say, we deny Christ.
Paul said this would happen in the end times.
II Tim. 3
1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

* Having a form of godliness ... they look like the church
* but denying the power thereof ... but they deny the power of the scripture to rule over them, explaining away or ignoring the specific instructions in the Bible
* from such turn away ... leave them, don't keep company with them, don't sit in their groups when they deny specific scriptures and allow the opposite to happen in the church for this is antichrist in the churches. (antichrist is a spirit in men like the devil is a spirit in men)
Those who explain away scripture are antichrist. And this is the apostasy in the church as Paul said had to come before Jesus could return.
II Thess. 2 (NASB)
Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?
And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed
The one restraining the man of lawlessness was Jesus, THE WORD, the scriptures.
As soon as scripture, even a portion of scripture, was removed, the restraint which held lawlessness back from the churches was removed so antichrist could move into the churches and lawlessness could reign inside the churches.

II John
9-11 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
We, who are the church, must not depart from scripture.
Neither can we continue to sit with those who explain away scripture.
We must depart from them.

Poison Gas Dream
Destruction was everywhere.
A man was speaking to a group of people. I went into the room and began to listen.
Another man rushed into the room and said: "Stop ... Wait ... Can't you see? ... It's too late ... It's already begun."
The first man resumed speaking.
I looked out the windows to see what had "already begun."
I was very shocked at what I saw!
There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense type warning speaker on top of the pole. Out of the speaker was coming a gas that was poison. It was coming directly toward us. I knew it would kill us.
The speaker that was set there to warn us was the device being used to gas us to death.
I looked at the man sitting next to me. He had a big smile on his face. But he was a corpse. He was already dead. I looked around the room at the other people. They were dead too, though they seemed to be alive. And as I sat among them, I began to feel sleepy and I knew as I sat there with them, the gas coming from the speaker was killing me too.
God was showing me the conditions of the church groups at the time of this dream, 1979. It is much worse in churches today.
