Ground yourself in truth

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

All treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hid in God and in Jesus Christ.  (Col. 2:2-3)

And we who belong to God have the promise that God will give us wisdom if we ask HIM.

James 1:5 ... If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

So often a person fails to remember God, fails to pray, doing what he has done in past years, doing what he reasons in his own mind.  But you do not know what is ahead.  God does.  It is so risky to take a chance and do something that seems right in your own way of thinking.

We are warned:  Be not wise in thine own eyes:  (Prov. 3:7)

We, who are the church, having the Spirit of God, have so much to be thankful for.

Keep your faith in God and in Christ.

We believe God raised Jesus Christ, HIS Son, from the dead ... We know God will raise those who believe in Jesus from the dead.

Jesus will come through the air with a shout and the dead in Christ will rise first to meet Jesus in the air.  (I Thess. 4)  Some will still be alive on this earth at that time and they will be changed from these current physical bodies in a "blink of the eye".  Blink your eyes.  That is how fast we will be changed into new bodies. (I Cor. 15)

We will no longer have these current physical bodies which are subject to physical pain, deterioration, sorrow, and many emotions of the flesh such as hatred, spite, envy, and lusts.

We will be totally free!

We meet Jesus "in the air"  (I Thess 4)

God has prepared for us a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness where there is no pain, no sorrow, no fear ... where nothing offends ... where there is only righteousness ... the "new Jerusalem" described by the apostle John in Revelation 21.

As we wait for HIM, we learn to wait "in peace, without spot, and blameless."  (II Peter 3)

We learn that our kingdom is not of this present world, as Jesus said in John 18.  Like those who have gone before us, we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth.  (Heb. 11)  Therefore we do not look at this present life as the world sees life.  We know this is very temporary and something much better lies ahead for God's people.

The exhortations in the Bible and in this blog are for the church to help us to see the way of God and to help us remember the ways of God set forth for us in the Bible ... to edify us, to instruct us, to help us to abide in God and Christ, The Word, as we wait for that which is to come where there is only righteousness.

We are not disturbed over those things of this world today as are people who think only of this present world.

Humans cannot destroy the heavens, only God can do that.

Man will not destroy this earth but God will when HE brings HIS wrath.  (II Peter 3)

Therefore we are not disturbed by the power of man as are many of this world.

We can live in peace, knowing from Bible, that God will destroy this current heaven and earth but God has prepared a place, a new heaven and new earth for us who belong to HIM.

We will be removed from this present earth before God brings HIS wrath upon the unrighteous.  We are not appointed for wrath.  (I Thess. 5)

As we read the Bible and godly exhortations, we turn our minds to God and to that prepared for us ahead, unshaken by those things that trouble people of this world.
