God gives wisdom ... God opens our eyes to see
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
God can open our eyes and God can close our eyes.
January 1, 2017, Pam Padgett's neighbor rang her doorbell and when Pam opened the door the neighbor said, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" ... Pam was shocked. It was not Pam's birthday. When Pam told the neighbor it was not her birthday, the neighbor said, "That's what your facebook page says... that January 1, is your birthday."
Then Pam remembered when she set up facebook a few months earlier, it had a space for "birthday." Pam didn't want to give her birthday because of Internet fraud so she just put January 1 as her birthday.
Pam told me this story and my first words were, "How embarrassing!"
Later that night, I was thinking about what happened and I realized Pam lied when she set up this information. I told her this and she saw what she had done. She corrected the page after she saw the truth.
I had shared this with Barbara Preston (also in our church group) and when she heard this she didn't realize it was a lie.
Until God opened my eyes none of the 3 of us realized it was a lie...Each of us have the Holy Spirit.
This so strongly shows us that it is not in us to "see". Unless God opens our eyes we do not see of ourselves. When God opens our eyes, we see. Then we share what God has shown us with others in the church and God opens their eyes to see. This is the operation of God by the will of God.
I Cor. 1:21 ... it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Luke 24 ... 13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. (Of Jesus being crucified and yet not being in the tomb.)
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said unto them, What things?
And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: 20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. 21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Then he (Jesus) said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
When God reveals HIMSELF to us we are "set on fire" for HIM. When God opens our eyes to see truth we marvel that God has shown us this.
Wisdom is from God. Understanding is from God. God does as HE wills. It is not of ourselves.

Mt. 16 ... 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
God, by HIS own will, put this truth in Peter's heart. It was not Peter's worthiness or works causing this. It was just the will of God to give this to Peter. Peter was blessed because God chose to reveal this to Peter.
It is not our works nor our goodness but God's will.

Acts 9 ... 1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. 3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?
And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. 13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
It is not in ourselves to be wise ... Everything is done by God, by HIS will ...
When we see something, it is because God, by HIS will, opened our eyes to see. We rejoice in HIM and not in ourselves. Of our own selves, we can do nothing. We can study all day long and still not see. It is not because we are "special" that we see. It is because it was the will of God for us to see when HE shows us something. Boast not in yourselves but in God. Marvel at God who allows men to see.
