God reveals HIMSELF to us, making HIMSELF a God to us

Exodus 6 ...  God says ... I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:7 And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

Most humans have other humans as their god, worshiping them, obeying them, trying to please them in those things they do on this earth.

But when God reveals HIMSELF to us and "takes us to HIM for a people", HE is to us a God.

Everything changes.

Now we are aware of God and what might please HIM, asking HIM what HE wants us to do as we go through events of this present life.

God becomes the most important factor in our lives.

We seek HIM through prayer, asking HIM what he wants us to do.

Worship is obedience to God.

We really try to find out what HE wants and when we believe we know what God wants us to do we do that, thus worshiping HIM.
