Man seeking his own glory

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

When a man tries to explain the reason something happened, that man is seeking his own glory, he is glorifying himself, his thinking, his reasoning, his wisdom.  By doing this, he wants to be god.

When we speak that which God has shown us, we glorify God by revealing God through that which HE has shown us.

A TV announcer kept saying what happened and "why" this happened.  I finally had to mute the sound.  It became apparent to me that this man wanted to be god in his wisdom.

Most people are like that.  If you will listen to them speak, they want to tell you the reason such and such happened.  This exalts themselves and makes them seem wise in their own eyes.

When we begin to explain why something happened, the cause, if we would learn to back off and pray instead of speaking, we would put ourselves under the authority of God.  Then we can speak what God shows us instead of making ourselves wise in our own eyes.

Jesus said ...

John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself (his own ideas) seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh HIS glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

It is very important to remember to pray for wisdom and to stop exalting our own ideas.

3 forms of wisdom:

1.  There is the wisdom that comes from God.

James 1:5 ... 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

2.  There is your own wisdom, what you think.

Proverbs 3 ... 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes:

3.  There is the wisdom authored by devils.

John 10 ...10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
