💥 God continually watches over us and protects us.

Pam Padgett, with whom I live in Colorado has cancer and her doctor works out of an hospital in Denver and we live approximately 50 miles from that hospital.

Unknown to us a part on our car had become bent and the steering of the car had been affected.  When I drove the car, I had to fight to keep the car inside the lines on the highway.  It veered to the left and then to the right.

Before making the drive to Denver, which was scheduled for October 31, Pam took the car to our mechanic for front end alignment.  But when mechanic put the car on the rack, he found a piece of metal under the car had been bent.  He told us it would not be safe to drive the car until that part had been replaced.

As Pam was wrestling with "how we could get to Denver" on the upcoming Monday, she recalled the word "virtual meeting" and realized in the night while sleeping that Word had been given to her by God.

She had the thought:  Instead of driving to Denver, perhaps she could schedule a virtual meeting with the doctor.

She called immediately and she told them our car was at mechanic and would not be safe to drive until after November 2.

No problem.  They could meet by Internet, Pam in Colorado Springs speaking to doctor in Denver by the computer.

Matthew 11

28 Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

God had given Pam an easy way (and a safe way)  to meet with this doctor.

(We are both so relieved that we will not have to drive to Denver on Monday and Pam can still meet with doctor but by Internet.)

Podcast: If you are born again, and sin "wilfully" there is no more sacrifice for sin. (Hebrews 10:26)

 

 

 

 

Jesus told the woman taken in adultery, "Go ... and sin no more."  (John 8:11)

She would not be able to commit adultery after the forgiveness, for to sin "willfully" after the knowledge of that sin puts her in the position where there is no more sacrifice for that sin.

Hebrews 10

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put HIM to an open shame.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

So what is their hope if they return to sins after being enlightened to these being sins:  returning to adultery; returning to fornication; returning to drunkenness; returning to the life of homosexual or lesbian

I Corinthians 5

1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4  In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

(I believe we turn him over to Satan by refusing to keep company with such a person who returned to his sins after being enlightened.)

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

13 ... Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

💥 In the midst of problems, God often takes us in an even better way than we had been going.

Hold fast to faith in God.  Turn to God when there are problems.  Allow God to establish your thoughts. And after God confirms the direction, go in that way.  God will work it out and show you what to do.

This world has faith in humans.  We have faith in God because we know God.

Joshua 1:5  I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

As we wait on God, HE will make it clear to us what we are to do.

God set the solar system when HE created the heaven and earth.

At the end of this world, God will shake the power of the heaven and earth.

Jesus says: 

Matthew 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

In the 1980's, God gave me the following dream:

The earth slipped on its axis.  People were terrified.  The governments of nations were meeting with the scientists and with the religious leaders to see what could be done about this.  (Nothing could be done.)  In the dream, a TV newscaster was trying to give the news.  But he was so terrified that he just stopped speaking and got up and walked out of the room.

The prophet Isaiah tells about this in the following scripture:

Isaiah 13:13  God says:

Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of HIS fierce anger.

One of our church group had the following dream:

 

She and her husband were going out to buy a television set.  She was at the car waiting for her husband while he was getting ready.  All of a sudden, the sun turned dark.  She was terrified.  She started to run back into the house but she knew this would do not good.  She just fell on her knees.

Revelation 6

 

12  And I beheld when HE had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

 

13  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.  

14 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of HIM that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of HIS wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

💥 Answer to prayer.

Pam Padgett was diagnosed with aggressive cancer of bladder on September 19, 2022.

Doctor set up treatment plan to include: 4 chemotherapy sessions followed by surgery removing bladder

Doctor even told Pam that if she didn't do this, she would die within a year or two.

My main prayer:  I asked God to please stop the plan for surgery and bladder removal, if at all possible.

The chemo-pharmacist gave Pam some written materials concerning the treatments.  When Pam read these, she noticed the following statement:  "An approach using chemotherapy and radiation therapy may provide the same benefits as bladder removal."

Pam contacted her doctor and apparently this is an option.  Doctor asked for Pam to come to Denver on October 31 to meet with her to review her treatment plans.

To change plans and eliminate the surgery seems to be an answer to prayer concerning this issue.

The wisdom that is from God is "easy to be intreated".  (James 3:17)

Surgery to remove the bladder would present many hardships:  (The chemo can be administered in Colorado Springs where we live.  The surgery was scheduled for a hospital in Denver.)

* The hospital is in Denver and we live in Colorado Springs. I couldn't drive to Denver to help Pam. (Radiation treatments can likely be done at hospital in Colorado Springs where we live. This makes a very big difference.  I could drive short distances, if needed, but the drive to Denver is farther and much more complex with much traffic.)

* The radiation treatments would be less complex and stressful on Pam's body than the surgery of bladder removal which requires 3 days in hospital.  

(Our report that we have now is Pam could even drive herself to radiation treatments and drive home after the treatment.  One of our our church group had radiation treatments several years ago and she said she even went to work after the treatment had been given.)

We were so joyful at this possible plan.

Answer to prayer.

And here is a promise from God in Bible:

I Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Hebrews 3

6 But Christ as a son over HIS own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

9 When your fathers tempted ME, proved ME, and saw MY works forty years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known MY ways.

11 So I sware in MY wrath, They shall not enter into MY rest.)

Podcast: The devil is a liar and there is no truth in the destructive thoughts that he brings to our mind.

 

 

 

The devil brings thoughts to our mind to steal, to kill, and to destroy us.

When such thoughts come, we must learn to resist these thoughts, knowing they are of devils.

One way to evaluate such thoughts is to take each destructive thought to God in prayer, asking HIM:  "What about this, God?"

The devil will eat you alive with thoughts if you allow this to happen.

I Peter 5:8-9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith,

2 Corinthians 10:3-5  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

I do pray for various leaders of governments of men but I do not vote for anyone.

💥  I was very shocked to see on the platform of a recent Democratic political meeting a man dressed as a woman.  HE was obviously a man for a beard was showing slightly on his face.  The other people on the platform were hugging him and showing this homosexual man that they strongly approved him.

Homosexuals and Lesbians:  What the Bible says:

Romans 1

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of HIM from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified HIM not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

God turned them over to reprobate minds and "vile affections"

2 John verses 8-11

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

If a man or woman goes against Bible and we "wish him well," we are considered by God to be partaker of his evil deeds, and we will lose reward.

A friend of this world is the enemy of God.  If we support those things done by this world while they are against the Bible, we are the "enemy of God".

James 4:4  Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

I Corinthians 6:9-10  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

I do not personally trust any politician of either political party in USA.  I believe a person would have to compromise in order to be elected.  I do not choose to partake of either party, though I will pray for the rulers, for the Bible shows me to pray for them.

Jesus said:

John 18:36     MY kingdom is not of this world: if MY kingdom were of this world, then would MY servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is MY kingdom not from hence.

My "kingdom" is not of this world either.

The saints of old in the Bible sought a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Hebrews 11

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.

I consider myself to be a "stranger and pilgrim" on this earth and I look for a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2 Peter 3:10-14  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

(As I was reading verse 13 one day, God said to me:  "You'll never make this present earth righteous no matter what you do."  It is the born again, elect of God, having a new heart and new spirit from God, that do righteousness as they follow God.  Eze. 36)

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

(We cannot stay in peace as we fight the other political party.)

The king of Sodom offered great riches to Abraham.

Genesis 14

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

Like Abraham, I want my "provision" to come from God.  I do not look to governments of men for my "wealth".

And I know the following:

Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I am fully persuaded that as long God leaves me on this earth HE will supply all my needs.

I do not look to governments of men to provide for me.

I live in peace because I pray over my concerns and settle my cares with God through HIM.

I pray, but I do not vote just because men of this world tell us to vote and we are praised by them when we vote.

God chose me to serve HIM and by HIS Word I serve God.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

John also shows us antichrist is a "spirit" ... the spirit of antichrist ... that operates in many men just as the devil is not "one man" but a spirit in many men.

I John 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

💥 Devil brings partial truth to confuse issues.

Genesis 3

1 Now the serpent was more subtil (elusive, crafty, cunning)  than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

(Eve added this to the  Word God spoke:  "neither shall ye touch it")

Now devil is going to try to cause the woman to doubt God. 

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

If we add to the Word spoken by God, or take away from the Word spoken by God. we enter into the lie and deception of devils.

Devils twist truth, thus turning truth into lies.

Podcast: When the churches water down the scriptures

 

 

I've often heard people say their church is not like it used to be but the scriptures are "watered down".

This is the end time apostasy that Paul said would come before Jesus returns to gather the elect of God.

Churches have fallen away from some scriptures to approve sin in the congregations and to get people of the world to attend their church.

When these scriptures are omitted, sinners are approved in the church without repentance:

* homosexuals & lesbians:

Romans 1:26-28  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Matthew 5:32   But I (Jesus) say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

(In 1982, God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures.")

This apostasy, falling away from scripture, is taking place now in churches all over this world as they omit scriptures and change scriptures from the doctrines of the Bible.

💥 USA ? A Christian nation of worldly people who are not born again by GOD?

Last night my husband and I were watching a program on TV where a man was speaking about the United States being different from other nations because it was founded on biblical principles.

He described America as being some kind of “biblical experiment.” And that being hostile to the US was being hostile to God.

I told my husband that I did not believe this because I had read something different in the Bible. I read the following to him which told me God’s view of the nations on this earth…


Isaiah 40:

15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance:

17 All nations before HIM are as nothing; and they are counted to HIM as less than nothing, and vanity.

In thinking about this this morning, I am reminded of the following scripture …

I John 5:19   And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

There is a movement in politics today called Christian Nationalism. 

They try to get politicians elected who profess to go by the Bible.  They want to set up laws according to Bible.  Their church movement are called Bible Churches.

Their purpose is to make worldly people who are not born again go by scriptures as laws of this world.

John 3:3  (Jesus says)   Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

I Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

God gives those who are born again a new heart and a new spirit so they can know the things of God.

This church type political movement in USA today wants to set up laws based on Bible without the world being born again.  We cannot understand the commandments of God by our natural mind for these things of God will be foolishness to the natural man.

A pastor from India contacted me once and asked:  "What is your vision for India?"

I replied:  "My vision for India is the same as my vision for United States.  In the end, both will be destroyed by God in the fire."

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

(If we try to be involved in politics we will be troubled.  Leave politics to this world.  Bible cannot be mixed with politics.  This world will never be righteous.  It is in the new heavens and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  You must be born again to enter into things of God or to be godly.)

Hebrews 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

A "brother in Christ" already knows such things as adultery, fornication, drunkenness are sin.

Paul says:   To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (I Cor. 5:5)

(When we tell such a person that we will no longer "keep company" with him because of the sin he is committing, I believe we deliver that "brother" to Satan for the destruction of his flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.)

Do you show support for those who attend apostate churches?

Jesus will destroy such when HE returns:  

2 Thessalonians 2:8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

(apostate church:  those who fall away from the doctrines of Christ in Bible and set up other doctrines which approve sin in the congregation)

"Who is it that restrains antichrist and keeps antichrist out of the churches?"  I asked God.

Instantly I knew it was Jesus (The Word) who kept antichrist out.  But when the churches omitted portions of scripture the door opened for antichrist to come into the churches and the end time apostasy to take place in the churches.

Churches omitted these scriptures allowing sin into the church and welcoming individuals who committed sin into the church.  And there was no repentance from these sins.  This is the end time apostasy.

Those church people who approve sin in the church will be destroyed with the sin when Jesus returns.  

Thus... 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

(God created everything man would need to prosper and survive and then God created man.  The "need" was provided before there was a need.)

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created HE them.

God spoke and The Word caused it to be done.

The same is true in our lives.  When God speaks, The Word causes the will of God to be done.

For example:  I fell at my house in Texas in 2018.  When I tried to crawl to the phone, the pain was so bad I just could not do it.  Then I heard These Words from the Spirit of God:  "You can do this."  And because of The Word, which I knew was from God, I did get to the phone.  (It took 4 1/2 hours.)

John 5:30   (Jesus said)  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

God speaks and The Word makes it possible.

Podcast: Faith: God spoke to Abraham and then Abraham did what God said to do

 

 

This is the essence of faith in God.  First, God speaks to us.  Then we obey God.

Genesis 12

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.  (all nations:  Jews and Gentiles)

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

On August 5, 1975, God spoke to me by bringing this thought to my mind:

"Joan ... you know those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

Sins?  I was shocked.  And with that I was born again.  God gave me a new heart and a new Spirit, The Holy Spirit, to live in me and lead me and guide me and to show me the will of God.

At the time I was born again, I owned a small business in Dallas, Texas.

A man filed a lawsuit against me.  I knew it was ridiculous, unfounded, so I just threw the legal papers on a shelf in my office and paid no attention to these.

A few days later, I realized that if I didn't respond to these charges, that man could obtain a court judgment against my business and I could lose all that I had.  So I hired an attorney to represent me.

Bills from the lawyer began arriving regularly and I knew all my money would be gone if I continued this way.

What to do?  I asked God.

And God reminded me of this scripture:  

Isaiah 54:17   No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

If this scripture is for today, this "weapon" formed against me will not prosper!  So why am I paying these attorneys?  I could go to court without any human legal counsel and represent myself.

I was such a new Christian, I decided to go to my pastor and tell him what I was planning.

As I drove to the church to talk to pastor, I prayed for God to give pastor wisdom.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

After I explained the situation and my plan to pastor, Robert Tilton, he said:  "Joan ... I perceive that you have faith to do this this way."

I called my lawyer and told him that I am now a Christian and what the Bible says and what I wanted to do.

Lawyer was horrified!  He said, "Joan ... you don't realize how evil these courts are today.  We are willing to work with you.  It will only take about $10,000 more to try your case."

I was shocked!  $10,000 more.

" Gordon ... stop ... don't do another thing!"  I replied.  (I probably had only $2,000 cash at that time and if I went the way of the lawyers I would be back in debt and God had told me to get out of debt and stay out of debt, which I had done.)

I explained this to Gordon.

Then I said:  "The Bible is either true and the promises made by God are for us today or the Bible is just an history book.  This is a good time to find out about the Bible."

I released my lawyer that day.

About a week later, Gordon returned to my shop and said they, at the law firm, had decided to try my case without any further financial cost to me.

I told Gordon I would have to let him know.

I began praying:  "God what do you want me to do?"  And immediately I was reminded of these scriptures.

Genesis 14  (There had been a war and Abram's side won.)

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

(I knew God was showing me to turn the "free" legal service down."

God gave me about 14 scriptures to help me to not be afraid.  I focused on these scripture to steady myself.

About 6 weeks passed.  I received a phone call from the lawyer of the man who was suing me.  He said: "I'm calling you because you do not have a lawyer.  I want to let you know our client dropped all charges and there will be no court case." 

I replied:  "Did he drop all charges against everyone else?"  

His lawyer said:  "He cut everyone loose.  We tried to get him not to file those charges against you but he wouldn't listen to us.  He was like a mad man."

(He was suing several other dealers in American Indian Arts and the Better Business of both Dallas and Fort Worth, charging that we were conspiring to keep him from doing business in the metroplex.)

A few days later, Gordon, my former lawyer came into my store.  He said:  "We want you to know that we believe what you said happened happened.  God did not allow this weapon formed against you to prosper."

It was over!
