Podcast: When the churches water down the scriptures

 


 
I've often heard people say their church is not like it used to be but the scriptures are "watered down".

This is the end time apostasy that Paul said would come before Jesus returns to gather the elect of God.

Churches have fallen away from some scriptures to approve sin in the congregations and to get people of the world to attend their church.

When these scriptures are omitted, sinners are approved in the church without repentance:

* homosexuals & lesbians:

Romans 1:26-28  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

* adultery:

Matthew 5:32   But I (Jesus) say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

Mark 10

10 And HE (Jesus) saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Romans 7

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

* fornication:

I Corinthians 6

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.


* drunkenness

Ephesians 5:18  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God:

I Corinthians 6:9-10  
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankindNor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(In 1982, God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures.")

This apostasy, falling away from scripture, is taking place now in churches all over this world as they omit scriptures and change scriptures from the doctrines of the Bible.
