The
place in the days before Jesus where God chose to set HIS name was the
city of Jerusalem. In those days, by the law of Moses, animal
sacrifices were offered to God for the sins and trespasses of the
nations of Judah and Israel, the divided kingdom.
After
the crucifixion and resurrection, our sins were paid for by the blood
of Jesus and we, who were chosen by God walked in HIS Word, and God set
HIS name on each person chosen by God for salvation.
I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
I Corinthians 6:11 ... ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Acts 13:48 ... and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Romans 12:1-2 I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
