Podcast: Isaiah the prophet of God: Verses for the church today

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

Our righteousness is of God when God tells us to do or say something and we do or say that Word which God gave us.

Joshua 1:9 Have not I command thee?  (says God)

So if it is God showing us then our righteousness is of God when we speak or do what we hear from God.

Isaiah 26

3 THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE.

4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

(We put our trust in God each time we pray to God, for by prayer we show our trust is in God.)

Isaiah 1:17   Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

James 1:27   Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

(visit means: to judge to see if there is a need which you are able to provide to the fatherless and to the widows.)

Isaiah 3:10   Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

Isaiah 5:16   But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

Isaiah 1:19   If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Isaiah 2:22   Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

To put trust in man is foolish for only God knows future, past and present.  To be in awe of man is foolish for the talent he has, when he has talent, is of God.  Worship God.  Learn to put your trust in God first rather than rushing to man.  If God then tells you to go to a certain human, do so.  But always put first your trust in God by turning to God first in prayer.

Isaiah 5

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Isaiah 8:13   Sanctify the LORD of hosts HIMSELF; and let HIM be your fear, and let HIM be your dread.

Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; HE also is become my salvation.

4 ... declare HIS doings among the people.

Isaiah 45

5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside ME: I girded thee, though thou hast not known ME:

6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside ME. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

(God has HIS instruments of destruction and death for those who do evil.  If they turn not, God will whet HIS sword.  Psalm 7:12-13)

Isaiah 45

21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside ME; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside ME.

22 Look unto ME, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Isaiah 28:26   For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.

Isaiah 49:

25 ... I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Isaiah 54

10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but MY kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of MY peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 55

6 Seek ye the LORD while HE may be found, call ye upon HIM while HE is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and HE will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for HE will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 65

21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of MY people, and MINE elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Isaiah 14:24   The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

Isaiah 28:22 ... I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

(I believe this is Coronavirus which is not going away.)
