Luke 21:11  (Jesus says)

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

  archaic:  A fatal epidemic disease

  origin:  Something morally corrupting

I have often thought Coronavirus was one of the end time signs.  But I had not realized the definition of "pestilences" until today when I read what Jesus said about the end times in Luke 21:11 and brought up the dictionary definition on the word "pestilences".

I think we are seeing both of these definitions happening right now.
