God does not let more happen to us than we are able to handle!

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

One thing after another might happen to us ...   but the comfort we have is in the knowledge and assurance of the following truth:

I Corinthians 10:13   There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

I had a friend named David.  He was 44 years old when diagnosed with the terrible disease ALS.  David had a wife and two children.  He became totally paralyzed within about 2 years and died in 4 years.

I don't see how I could have handled that.  (We often think.)

But I didn't have to handle that.

And David could handle that, and so could his family, for God does not permit us to have more than we can handle.

Recently Pam Padgett was telling me of a time when she had terrible plumbing problems surface at her house and the ended up having to replace all the pipes in her house.

Sounds terrible to us!

But as she was telling this story and going from one surfacing problem to another, all I could think of is the truth that God does not permit us to go through more than we can endure.  And I thanked God for this.

In the midst of the problems, I think it is helpful to remember this truth.
